Becca is probably very thankful for Lisa Eldridge's warm recommendations of their Shimmering Skin Perfectors. I can only assume sales must have skyrocketed after her video on highlighters where she talks about them was uploaded. Especially the Pearl one. It seemed to be sold out almost everywhere around London for months. Websites seemed to be sold out the same day they had re-stocked, it was crazy! I finally got my hands on one about a year and a half ago at their London Flagship store on Pelham Street.
Anyone that reads beauty blogs will have heard about the Smashbox Photo Finish Light. A staple in many a beauty junkie's collection, I was rather late to try my own hand at this bestseller. Could it possibly live up to it's hype?
Surprisingly (being a bright lips junkie), one of my all-time favourite glosses is a Chanel Brilliant Levres in 69, which is a purple brownish shade. When I picked up my first Bourjous Effet 3D Gloss in 03 it was mainly to see if it was in any way dupable with my Chanel staple.
This was my second purchase from the Mega-Mushroom line. Following my undoubtedly successful purchase of the face mask I could only hope this would live up to my expectations.
Some of you may have caught onto how much I love a bright lip. Therefore you may think this gloss would be rather boring to my tastes, but this is actually one of the most used glosses I own.
After hearing this raved about so much I've been keen to try it myself for quite a while. I was lucky enough that the lovely sales assistant at the Chanel counter I went to gave me three samples of the foundation to try.
This is my second bottle of Soap & Glory's SlimWear. One would think that means I am a fan, but it was quite a long time ago that I used it last, and when I spotted it in Boots last time I thought I'd give it another go. If nothing else it's a bit of a fun product to try, it probably won't work and I'll have something to write a review on for you guys.
Sephora's Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara claims to be a 7 actions in 1 mascara, promising to both thicken, lenghten, separate, curve, nourish, strengthen and protect. Is this a case of biting of a bit more than is possible to chew, or have we witnessed the creation of the perfect mascara?
I have fond memories of using this primer years ago, when it had just been released. I used it with YSL's then revolutionary Perfect Touch foundation, that also comes with a brush attached, and I have to say the results really were quite impressive, if my memory serves me correct. The latter is what I have been wondering for quite some time, and so I thought I'd give the primer another go.
My first purchase from this life-changing skincare line was the face mask. Described as a mask to help reduce flare-ups and calm stressed skin it seemed just what I needed.
On the way towards full-on summer I've been testing out a few self-tanners both for you guys and myself, obviously. Third on the list was Shiseido's Brilliant Bronze Tinted Self-Tanning Gel.
I just realised the other day that I haven't written a review on this line yet and I can't believe it's taken me this long to get around to. Some of you may be very well aquainted with Shiseido's skincare, but I find a lot of people haven't tried much from the range. That included me up until about a year ago. My skin was slowly clearing up, but I was still looking for that perfect skincare routine that would finally get it back to it's previous good state. On my way to Cannes last summer I picked up the tester kit at the airport and so the adventure began...
I love Chanel lipglosses. One of my all time favourites is the Brilliant Levres in 69. The only reason I don't have that many shades is because I'm usually drawn to bright, fun lip colours, I love a bold lip, and Chanel's glosses are usually more neutral and pink. With the release of Chanel's Glossimiers my eyes were instantly drawn to Jalousie and I knew it was ment to be.
As you all know, I fell in love with the Rouge Pur Couture in the shade 7 and decided to get this amazing new gloss stain formula in the shade 13 as well.
With this latest sweep of sunshine that has hit Europe I'm sure I'm not the only one that's felt a bit uneasy putting their legs on show for the first time in a while. There are numerous reasons for this, one being their sorry pale state, and so I have kept at it testing self-tanners for you guys.
