This is my first ever "first impressions" post. As I haven't had time to properly test all of the eyeshadows in the two palettes I can't do a proper in-depth review as I would normally, but I still wanted to get my opinion out there while it's still relevant and it could benefit a few on-the-fence buyers.

Guys, I cracked. Well, kind of. I've gone into the whole Dior 5 Colours Eyeshadow problem before.. It's my favourite eyeshadow formula, but I only have (had) the one, 734 Grege, as it's the only color combination I like from the vast offerings Dior have, including their limited edition releases.. Well, Grand Bal was released about a week ago here in Norway, and unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I fell in love..
From just looking at the bottle, Chanel's Vertigo from their fall collection failed to impress. I found it rather boring. On closer inspection the dark grey colour has a sheen of multicoloured glitter to it, which makes it at least a bit more interesting so I thought I'd give it a go, mostly just to review it for you guys.
If you've followed my blog for a while, or just read my review on Chanel's now legendary Pro Lumiere, you'll know I was quite unhappy when I first heard the news of it being discontinued. On the other hand, a new foundation is always exciting and it was a new foundation by Chanel, so I crossed my fingers the replacement, Perfection Lumiere, would be even better!
When purchasing my beloved Givenchy Phenomen' Eyes Mascara a while back I was lucky enough that it was being sold in a pack with a free mini eyeliner with it. I've never been much of a pencil eyeliner user, but I was still quite excited to get to try this.
Another month another empties post! This post has been ready to go for quite a while now, and excuse the lack of posts in general, I have written reviews that are ready to go, but since moving I can't seem to find anywhere to take good pictures! I've tried everywhere and it's getting really frustrating, especially as having good pictures is really important to me. Basically my new apartment won't let me use any natural light as my windows are all huge windows with plenty small ones inside, creating shadows and lines, so I need to use fake light, and this is really hard. It works on some pictures and for some reason doesn't work at all on others. Please bare with me as I try to figure this out, until then, here are my September favourites - my empties box for October is already starting to gather a few sad goodbyes!
After finishing my Lancome Primordiale Yeux I pulled out my samples of this and decided to put it properly to the test. Guerlain's Orchidée Impériale Eye & Lip Care retails for £104 (Debenhams) so my expectations were quite high. It also had to be significantly better than other, much cheaper eye creams to properly warrant the hefty price tag.
I've kept at it testing mascaras and next up was Inimitable Intense. I have never tried any Chanel mascaras before, and I haven't heard or read much about them either so I was quite excited to try my first one.
These are products that I have used and loved this month. It could be new purchases or old re-discoveries. There won't always be one in every category, as this is not for what I've been using, but products that have really stood out and that has gotten me excited about make up and skincare. Sometimes I might include things from other categories if I feel it is worth a mention, but not always.
