Favourites: September 2012

These are products that I have used and loved this month. It could be new purchases or old re-discoveries. There won't always be one in every category, as this is not for what I've been using, but products that have really stood out and that has gotten me excited about make up and skincare. Sometimes I might include things from other categories if I feel it is worth a mention, but not always.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 20 Beige - click here for review -
I've already covered this in my reivew so if you want more information go have a look there. I've been pretty much using this non-stop since buying it this summer and I am still just as in love with it! The shade 20 Beige is starting to be a tad dark for me at the moment so I might have to settle for my other paler foundations until my 100 days of no spending is over, but when it is I will certainly buy the Vitalumiere Aqua in 10.

Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray
This was also featured in my August favourites, and rightly so. This helps my makeup stay on for much longer and I almost never have a problem with my makeup fading throughout the day anymore. I will give some credit to my much used and much loved Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Light, but the De-Slick is definitely pulling it's weight as well - highly recommended!

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Birthday Suit
September kept me quite the busy bee, as some you might have been able to tell by the lack of posting. I've moved to a new apartment and uni started for real.. Key to my makeup application has therefore been "fast and simple" and so Birthday Suit has been a lifesaver. I don't generally like the look of just one cream shadow all over the lid, but Birthday Suit gives the eye a really nice definition and while it of course doesn't look as nice as doing a proper eye look, it's good enough for 4 hours of economics and I've been loving it for almost everyday this month. Add to that that it doesn't move or fade throughout the day and the incredibly silky feeling when you apply it - it's definitely a winner in my book and something I really don't see myself being without for a long time!

Loréal Super Liner Perfect Slim in Intense Black
Loreal's Super Liner was in my August Favourites as well, and much deserved! This is just the easiest way to apply liner in my opinion. The felt tip is really nice and precise and the formula itself stays put all day without any smudging or bleeding. The black is also really black. If you've been struggling mastering the art of eyeliner, first; don't worry, everyone goes through it, and second; try this! It's so much easier, plus it's drugstore so it's cheap!

Chanel Nail Colour in 559 Frenzy - click here for review -
For anyone who's read my review, you'll know how impressed I've been with this. The color is perfection, can be worn with anything, and I really do mean anything. Not the way red can technically be worn with anything, this can be worn with anything and in any style. Meaning you can go from formal at work to cool hipster after work with your nail colour being just as spot on for both occasions. If you see any of these left at a counter near you - grab one before it's too late, seriously.

Dior Grège 413
I'm wearing this on my nails right now. Grège is from Dior's new Nude line expansion and was released with the new Nude lipsticks, which did not impress me. Grège however, is a gorgeous, gorgeous nude/warm brown that is lovely on crisp autumn days. I'm writing a review that will be up soon so look for that if you want to know more about wear and tear.

Dior J'Adore Eau De Parfum Absolue 50ml
I don't usually like to include perfumes as I feel it's such a personal thing, but I've been wearing this pretty much everyday this month so I felt it deserved a mention. It's such a complex, yet wearable scent that is just the right amount of sexy for everyday. I'm sure most of you will know this perfume already, a lot of you probably own it, but if you haven't had a sniff yet go try it the next time you see it - it's gorgeous.

Garnier 7 Days Body Lotion for Normal Skin - click here for review -
This has been in a few favourites post before and has even gotten it's own review. Not bad for a drugstore body lotion! This smells heavenly and really moisturises my body without leaving any kind of residue on the skin. I can even skip body lotion on some occasions when I've used this the day before - and that is time-saver heaven!

Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed for Normal or Combination Skin
After finishing my Lancome Gel Eclat I was a bit worried I would have to endure a few months of less than perfect skin whilst going through my spending ban. Little did I know I had this deluxe sample sized diamond waiting in my cupboard to be discovered. I can not say enough good things about this cleanser, it's keeping my skin in perfect balance. I will write a full review on it so I won't go into every little detail here, but this stuff is seriously amazing!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir 100ml - click here for review -
My last favourite for the month of September is another skincare item, and it's the much toted about Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I've just written up a review of this so I won't repeat myself too much, but this is just amazing and I will never be without it. Keeps my skin clear, radiant and healthy. The next time you get an email from certain online stores, grab the coupon code and spend it on this - you won't regret it!
