I got this as a bit of a christmas treat for myself last year (2012) after being blown away when using a few samples of it. The full sized product has not disappointed, to say the least, and I figured it was time I write up a review for you guys.
The jar holds 15ml of product and comes with a little "spoon" to scoop out product with. I love this as opposed to digging your fingers inside, especially if you have longer nails, a little scooper is much more sanitary. The cream itself is white and of quite a thick consistency. It's very concentrated which means you need very little product, much less than you think, to cover both eye areas.
I've been using the Cellular Eye Contour Cream for about 3 months now, and as you can see from the pictures, I'm not even halfway through, I'd say I'm about 1/3 through. This means this could potentially last me about 9 months, which makes the cost significantly less than it seems initially. Due note that this is from using it only night time though.
At night time I take a small amount, pictured below is actually a bit more than I would need, and dab it under both eyes. As it is very concentrated, the cream is quite thick. The warmth from sitting on top of the skin for a few seconds makes it more liquid and so it spreads really easily across both eyes. I almost always end up using a tad too much as it's so concentrated and spreads so much further than you would think from just looking at it.
This eye cream is perfect for anyone with an eye area in need of a lot of moisture or those nearing or around 30+. It's a very heavy cream, which is why I only use it at night, and so it's quite unnecessary if you don't feel an absolute need for it. However, it's more basic and mostly just moisturising, so it would be a good place to start if you want to try an eye cream from the La Prairie line, but are unsure of which one.
I absolutely love this stuff and I most definitely see myself re-purchasing this when it runs out. It has made a massive difference to the skin around my eyes. It's gotten rid of the dehydration lines I was having trouble getting rid of before, and it's keeping the skin looking healthy and radiant. When I get a few years older I will definitely be interested in looking at using the Cellular Time Release Moisturiser from the same range. If the La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream sounds like it could be something you need I definitely recommend it!
