Following my recent review of Gri-Gri, this time it's all about Hasard. Hasard is the other eyeshadow single released as part of Chanel's Superstition Collection for Fall 2013. It's a beautiful matte lavender shade that I knew I had to have the second I read the press release. I have been looking for a matte colour like this for ages!
Gri-Gri has somewhat unexpectedly ended up being the star item of Chanel's Fall lineup. I say unexpectedly because Chanel's eyeshadow offerings aren't usually their most popular items. The things we usually remember from Chanel collections are nail polishes, lip products and beautiful limited edition highlighters. But this time, it looks like it's going to be Gri-Gri.
I originally thought I was just going to get Hasard from the Chanel fall collections, and all the fall collections across the brands actually, but as I should have learned by now; I ended up buying a few other things as well. There's just something about Chanel I find impossible to resist...
As a long-time fan and user of Estee Lauder's famed Advanced Night Repair Serum I was excited, to say the least, when I heard news of them releasing a version specially formulated for the eye area. I was given the product to try by Estee Lauder a few months before it got released, but haven't written about it until now as I wanted to test it properly first. As my first bottle is all gone I figured it was about time to do one now.
I've loved Molton Brown shower gels for a long time and Relaxing Yuan Zhi has been featured in more than one favourites post. There's not many reviews on these in the blogosphere and I know their "just shower gels", but that shower first thing in the morning, or after a really long day, can sometimes make all the difference. The difference to how you start your day, or go to bed feeling ready for the next.
Omorovicza is a brand I've wanted to try for the longest time. The only reason I haven't is because it's not available in Norway and I like to see products in person before I buy, especially at this price. And Omorovicza really is a luxury brand, but one with a great philosophy behind it.
I finished quite a few things this month, even some makeup! I've also started clearing out stuff that is old, dried up or that I never use. Little by little I'm clearing out more and more stuff that is causing clutter and have been noticing that I am getting more room to organise my products in a much nicer way.
We've had quite the fabulous summer here in Norway with mostly sunny days and warm temperatures throughout July! I've enjoyed wearing little makeup and spending shorter time getting ready as I want to hurry getting ready to get outside to enjoy the beautiful weather! These have been my go-to products this month when I've been wanting stuff I know works well without much effort.
