Review: Fushi Organic Rosehip Oil

If I had to pick one favourite find of all of 2013 it would have to be Rosehip Oil. I discovered it's wonders at the beginning of last year and never looked back. After seeing the wonders it did for my face I scoured down a version to use on my body; the Fushi Organic Rosehip Oil. I've since been through countless bottles.

Rosehip Oil is wonderful. It helps balance the skin, moisturise, helps blemishes and scars/pigmentation marks heal faster, and prevents blemishes from leaving any unwanted marks. It also gives a beautiful glow to the face and keeps skin nice, clear, even toned and radiant. There's not a bad thing that I can think of about Rosehip Oil - whatever brand, or price point - everyone should have a kind in their skincare "arsenal".

I use a different Rosehip Oil for my face, ones meant specifically for it. This one by Fushi I apply only to my body. I suppose this could be used on the face and it be absolutely fine, but I haven't and probably won't try that myself. I tend to stick to the products specifically meant for the face, to put on my face, personally.

The Fushi Organic Rosehip Oil is orange in colour and of a slightly thicker consistency. It has a peculiar smell when it's first open, but it doesn't linger and you get used to it fairly quickly. I did anyway. The orange colour of the oil is an added bonus as it gives the skin a beautiful glow. It does take a few moments to absorb, but once it does you can't feel it for the rest of the day and there's no residue. I'm not sure exactly how long this takes for my skin to absorb, but I know that it at least takes me about an hour to get ready after showering, and by that time my skin will be dry and "ready for clothes".

I personally use this mostly for the upper part of my body. This as the skin on my chest and upper back is sensitive and a lot of body lotions tend to irritate my skin here. This has in the past caused some uncomfortable rashes, causing me to itch and in turn leaving some small scars. When using the Fushi Organic Rosehip Oil I never get any reaction. The skin on my upper body is well nurtured, not at all red and with a nice even skin tone and glow. With continued use I saw my old scars actually disappear! I was hoping for that effect for the newer ones, but never dared hope this would be able to do anything about the older ones - but they are gone now! I cannot guarantee that this will work on old scars for everyone, but I will say it worked for me and it doesn't hurt to try!

Since using the Fushi Organic Rosehip Oil my skin is glowing, clear, never irritated, never itchy and never red. Add to that that I am using something 100% natural and I couldn't be any more happy. I might try a different Rosehip Oil at some point in the future due to curiosity, but for now I'll be sticking to Fushi's offering. I couldn't even tell you how many bottles I've been through, but I would make a guesstimate that this is about my 10th bottle of the stuff. And I've always got back ups! Always!
