This empties post is going to be a bit spoilerish in terms of my use it up project, unfortunately. I wanted to post an update in September, but with my new schedule and also being the lucky recipient of the flu virus, I just couldn't get around to even thinking about it. Other than the makeup items I didn't finish much this month, it's definitely a smaller post than some of my others. Having said that there are a lot of bigger items, stuff I've been working on for a long time, and actually quite a few makeup items, so it's quite exciting still.
Lush So White Shower Gel 500g ( limited edition )
This was a limited edition shower gel Lush released last christmas. I absolutely love the scent and this is the second one I've used, I bought the smaller one at first to try. I'm not sure I'd buy this again if they release it this year, just because I find it to be so ridiculously expensive for just a shower gel. It does smell really good though, just like freshly cut green apples!
Pangea Organics Body Oil Italian White Sage & Geranium 120ml ( here )
I haven't been particularly impressed with Pangea Organics, and this is the last product from them that I have. This was the best of the ones I tried I think, but there's nothing super special about it either. It's a nice body oil, it has a nice scent and it works pretty much on par with any other body oil, to be honest. It's a decent buy if you want to try a body oil from Pangea, but if you have no particular interest in the brand, this isn't something you ever need to try or get.
Nuxe Sun SPF20 Milky Spray For Face and Body 150ml ( here )
This is quite nice. It's a super light lotion that absorbs super fast and smells amazing. It has that typical summer monoi scent. I really wish it would come with a higher SPF as SPF 20 is almost nothing. I won't buy it again for that reason, but I loved trying it and did enjoy it well enough. If they do release it with a higher SPF I'd love to get another bottle next summer.
Biotherm Lait de Gommage Gentle Exfoliating Milk 75ml ( here )
I won't bore you to death with another short review of this, as it's probably the seventh, or something like that, tube I've used. It's nice, exfoliates really well, is handy in a tube and doesn't really have a scent. I'd buy it, definitely.
La Prairie Cellular Refining Lotion 250ml ( review - here )
This is a very nice toner indeed, but it's not a must-have. It's gentle on the skin, nourishing and does help balance the skin which is a toner's main task. If you love La Prairie, this is nice, you will definitely like and enjoy using it. If you don't care about La Prairie, however, then this isn't something that needs to be your introduction to the brand.
Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream 50ml ( review - here )
I loved this moisturiser. It was nourishing and moisturising, but still super lightweight. It's not enough for my skin when it's more dry, typically during the colder months, but it was perfect for summer. I can't buy it anywhere anyway, but if I could I'd buy it again next spring.
Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil 30ml ( here )
One of my all-time favourite products! This is probably my fifth or something bottle and I've moved onto my backup the second this finished. I'll keep re-purchasing this for as long as they make it.
La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream 50ml ( here )
This is a really good hand cream. It's very moisturising, but still not greasy. It's great to use at night, but also during the day if you've got very dry hands. If you don't need too much in terms of moisture on your hands, I'd use this as an overnight treatment.
Creme de La Mer The Lip Balm 9g ( review - here )
This is one of the best lip balms I've ever used. It also smells incredible, of mint. I want to go through some more lip balms first, but I will definitely buy another one.
LUSH Seanik Solid Shampoo ( here )
This was ok, but I find it to be a bit harsh on the hair. I love the concept and the only way I'd buy this again would be if I was going on a very long trip or started a job where I'd be flying around on planes a lot. Other than that, a big no on the re-purchase. I'm not saying it's horrible, there are just a lot better shampoos out there, at least for my hair.
Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Eye Cream 0.75ml ( here )
This was quite nice. I don't remember too much about it, but I remember like it, yet thinking it wasn't nearly good enough to justify the price tag. This is way, way overpriced and I'd say definitely keep your money.
Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Treatment 0.75ml ( here )
This is quite nice. I wasn't as impressed with it as I were last time I used a sample, but it's nice nonetheless. I used it overnight, and woke up to very balanced glowing and hydrated skin. I'm still kind of keen to try the full size.
Guerlain Orchidé Impériale The Eye and Lip Cream 2ml ( review - here )
This is superb. Also a rather expensive eye cream, but I dare say it might be worth it. It's super hydrating, my eye area always looks super healthy when I use a sample of this. If I were to ever run out of eye cream samples, I'd actually consider getting this.
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 30ml ( review - here )
Now for quite a few products I've finished that are in my use-it-up project. I love the Hourglass Mineral Veil. I think this just might be my third one I've gone through. I definitely want to buy it again, but Hourglass isn't available in Norway so I'll have to wait until I'm traveling to somewhere it's sold.
Clarins Instant Smooth Self-Tanning Primer 30ml ( here )
Another primer. This is quite cool, it's a self-tanner and primer all in one. And it works really well as both things too. I'm not sure I'd buy it again as I love using the Clarins Golden Glow Booster Drops for my self-tanning, but if you don't like that and is looking for an easy everyday self-tanning product, this is definitely one to check out.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Raven Glaze Lacquer Eyeliner 1ml ( here )
This was quite horrible. It was fine in the beginning, nothing special, but quickly got dry and the tip got flimsy and it was impossible to do a nice flick. I'm quite disappointed, this lasted for about a month and a half. Not something I'll ever buy again, and obviously wouldn't recommend it either.
No7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick in 15 Tempt 2.5g ( here )
This is really nice. It's a very sheer lipstick in a bright pink colour. It goes on almost like a gloss, but you can keep applying more and build it up to quite a full-on in your face bright pink colour. It's basically the perfect handbag-lipstick as you can use it to just give your lips a slight tint, and then amp it up should you stay out until late or find yourself in need or want of a different kind of look.
Revlon Lip Butters in 010 Raspberry Pie, 080 Strawberry Shortcake & 035 Candy Apple ( here )
I haven't touched these in forever and as I was going through my lipsticks this month I realised just that. I considered putting them in my use-it-up project, but then saw all my Tom Ford, Chanel and other very expensive lipsticks and realised just how dumb that would be. So I decided to just downsize them instead. They are nice, but I'm not excited about them anymore.
MAC Cremestick Liner in Sublime Culture 0.25 g ( here )
Finally is my Mac Lipliner in Sublime Culture. This is a really pretty red brown shade. I'd love to find this kind of shade in a lipstick. It's also a really nice lip liner, a twist up which I definitely prefer as it's more purse-friendly. I couldn't find this anywhere but on Amazon anymore, so I guess it's been discontinued, which is a bit of a shame.
