Empties: May 2014

This month I finished quite a few skincare staples and some items that I've been working on for a while. I also decided to get rid of a few more nail polishes and some lip products. It's funny how hard it used to be for me to let go of products about a year back, yet now it just gets easier and easier. There's also some makeup items in this post from my 14 Products to Use Up in 2014 project which is always especially exciting!

Empties: April 2014

I finished a bit less this month of actual empties, but I did get rid of a good amount of stuff to make up for it. I can not tell you how much better I'm feeling after getting rid of more and more stuff. Each time after I've gone through my collection and decided to just give up on stuff I don't like, my shoulders feel a little bit lighter. My makeup "collection" will probably never be small, but I will definitely keep aiming for a more streamlined and smaller one, with only products that make me excited about using them.

Empties: July 2013

I finished quite a few things this month, even some makeup! I've also started clearing out stuff that is old, dried up or that I never use. Little by little I'm clearing out more and more stuff that is causing clutter and have been noticing that I am getting more room to organise my products in a much nicer way.

Empties: June 2013

A bit late with this one, but better late than never! Even though we're almost halfway through July I've seperated my empties from June from the ones I've finished in July. I finally have a bit less as I was away on holiday for over half of June and didn't take my empties back home with me. Still there's a few products, and one I'm very sad about that unfortunately smashed. Next month's empties is looking like it will have quite a few "throwaways" as I'm getting sick of having so much stuff around that I don't even like. But more on that next month!

Summer Holiday Hauls: The Drugstore Makeup

 

These summer holiday hauls posts are a tad late as I got back from France a little while ago now. As I am doing the 100 days of no spending however, I figured there was no need to rush it and I have also decided to split it into 3 parts as well. Partly due to me buying quite an overwhelming amount of stuff, partly because I won't be doing any hauls for a while so why not spread them out?

Review: Bourjous Effet 3D Gloss in 03, 06, 18 and 46

Surprisingly (being a bright lips junkie), one of my all-time favourite glosses is a Chanel Brilliant Levres in 69, which is a purple brownish shade. When I picked up my first Bourjous Effet 3D Gloss in 03 it was mainly to see if it was in any way dupable with my Chanel staple.
