Use it Up: Update #8

I did kind of just update this project, but I've made a decent amount of progress and finished some products so I figured it'd be fun to do an update. Also, most of the people that project pan on youtube do at least a monthly update, so I guess once a month one the blog isn't too crazy either. Especially these days as I've been super into using stuff up, and basically using nothing but these products and my palette in my pan that palette challenge. Anyway, let's get this post going!

Use it Up: Update #7

This is going to be one of the better updates of this. Not that I've ever done too shabby, to be honest, but this time around I've finished a whopping 6 products. This means I'll also be adding 6 new products at the end, which is a lot. I considered not adding them and just finishing the remaining products by the end of the year, and then being done with the project, but I don't want to do that. I'd rather keep cycling through ten and another ten and another ten products, no matter what year it is or was. Either way, let's get into showing the progress I've made on the products I am still working on, what I've finished and what's going in the bin.

Favourites: September 2015

September is always a weird in-between month where it's not still summer, but not quite fall yet, so it's hard to choose what clothes and what kind of makeup to wear. It was also my first month working so I really got to put some products to the test. I quickly fell into habits as I now need something I know works or know how to make work. So these are all a good selection of my go-to fool proof products that I've depended on the last 30 days.

Favourites: April 2015

My favourites from April consists of some long-time favourites, as you can tell by major pan, but also some new loves. All of the products are really, really good and I'm so excited to share them with you guys! Surprisingly I've only reviewed one of these items already on the blog, so it's good I'm making a point to mention the others as these are all products you really need to check out!

Finish 5 By Fall Finale!

This whole thing has been a bit of a fail for me. First of all I didn't choose products all that wisely - as in I didn't really finish anything. Then I managed to accidentally delete the pictures I had taken for my monthly update. By the time I realised it was already about a week into september and I thought I might as well wait until the end. Then I did make a lot of progress in the time after and realised I should've still taken the pictures, but at that point it was really too late. Oh well, I'll take you through the progress I've made and there's a bit of reflection at the end.

Review: Chanel Glossimers in '178 Sonate' and '179 Murmure'

I don't typically buy a lot of lip gloss. It's not that I don't like them, I do, but a lot of them are either uncomfortable, barely makes a difference or full of all-too-visible glitter making me look a bit too much like I did when I was 12. Therefore when I do find glosses I do like, I like to get them when I can. Enter Chanel's Glossimers and their Spring 2014 limited edition 'Sonate' and 'Murmure'.

Haul: My picks from the Spring 2014 Collections

I feel like I've made a fairly modest selection of the spring collections this year, picking just a few items. I was very proud of myself for skipping on the Chanel nail polishes this year, but I did test Tapage at the store and upon arriving home having looked at it all day.. I think I'll definitely end up going back for it after all. For anyone curious about the polish I have a picture of how it looks on my nails in the post as well.

Favourites: February 2013

This month have been very simple in the makeup department for me. It's mostly been about getting ready quick and trying to keep my skin and lips from being too dry. I am so ready for the weather to get warmer and to start wearing lighter layers!

Review: Bourjous Effet 3D Gloss in 03, 06, 18 and 46

Surprisingly (being a bright lips junkie), one of my all-time favourite glosses is a Chanel Brilliant Levres in 69, which is a purple brownish shade. When I picked up my first Bourjous Effet 3D Gloss in 03 it was mainly to see if it was in any way dupable with my Chanel staple.

Review: Chanel Brilliant Levres in 69

Some of you may have caught onto how much I love a bright lip. Therefore you may think this gloss would be rather boring to my tastes, but this is actually one of the most used glosses I own.

Review: Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimier in 169 'Jalousie'

I love Chanel lipglosses. One of my all time favourites is the Brilliant Levres in 69. The only reason I don't have that many shades is because I'm usually drawn to bright, fun lip colours, I love a bold lip, and Chanel's glosses are usually more neutral and pink. With the release of Chanel's Glossimiers my eyes were instantly drawn to Jalousie and I knew it was ment to be.

Favourites: May 2012

These are products that I have used and loved this month. It could be new purchases or old re-discoveries. There won't always be one in every category, as this is not for what I've been using, but products that have really stood out and that has gotten me excited about make up and skincare. Sometimes I might include things from other categories if I feel it is worth a mention, but not always.

Paris Haul!

Galeries Lafayette at Boulevard Haussman

This past weekend I visited Paris for a romantic 4 day long weekend and it was amazing as always! It wasn't my first time in Paris, but it was my first time in Versaille and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been!
