Empties: Januar 2016

Here we go again. It's the start of a whole new year, and I'm starting a whole new empties tally with quite a bang. I mentioned in my December empties that while I did manage to finish up a few extra things to add to my 2015 numbers, a lot I didn't quite finish, and they are indeed in the first post of 2016 instead. There's fewer sachets and samples, though some, and mostly all full size products.

2015 Favourites: The Skincare

Following my makeup favourites post, I am of course doing one for my skincare favourites as well. You'll see a lot of products here I've talked about several times before, I think they've all been featured in at least one favourites post, if not more. As with the last post I'm simply listing the products as the post would be too long otherwise. There'll be links to full reviews for the products I have that for, the others I really need to get to 'reviewing'! As I mentioned in my last post, this past year I've had a lot of focus on downsizing my 'stash', which also includes skincare. Therefore there's a few favourite products I've finished and not re-purchased (though I really, really want to!) yet, and that is also the reason the last few products are featured in a collage of promotional pictures by the brands and not pictures I've taken myself. That's all I have to say I think, except please leave me a comment if you have a question about any of the products, or there's one or some that you would like to see me do a full review of that I haven't already. Everything in here are products I love, however, if I've raved about something that isn't in here, it doesn't mean I don't still absolutely love it, I just couldn't feature absolutely everything.

Review: Sarah Chapman Skinesis Morning Facial

You know those mornings when you've got 3 thoughts in your head at the same time? When you are feeling stressed, tired and overwhelmed? You can barely even make eye contact with yourself in the mirror? On those mornings, when I take a pump or two of this into my hands and go to pat it across my face, the second the scent hits me - all those thoughts just vanish. I only have one thought in my head; this smells heavenly! And then I have a minute of pure indulgence and peace and quiet as I apply this - and if for nothing else, that is what makes this worth every penny for me.

Empties: November 2015

This months empties is full of a lot of skincare favourites, perfume samples and quite a bit of makeup in terms of mascara. I've got one month left of the year and am focusing really hard on everything that has just a bit left to get some really good numbers for the year total. For now though, here are the products I finished in November.

Review: Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial

The famous Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial. So many bloggers and youtubers have raved about this, especially on my side of the pond. It's a treatment oil packed full of fancy ingredients meant to give you a healthy and radiant complexion come morning, no matter if you only went to bed a few hours before. That sounds a rather impossible task, but if true, well, I had to check it out.

Favourites: December 2014

Better late than never, here comes my last favourites post of 2014! Monthly favourites that is, I've still got one favourites of the year post coming up, and then I think I'm finished with all the round-ups from 2014. December was, as a few of you will know, filled with exams all the way until the 19th (!!) when I finally got to go home and enjoy christmas food, my parents christmas house, spending time with my family and as an extra bonus; it snowed, tonnes! December was mostly me wearing no makeup and studying, but the few products I did use were absolute gems.

Happy New Year Everyone! I decided to take a break from everything including the blog over the christmas holidays as I was just exhausted from all of my exams. Now I'm back though and with loads of posts to do this month about empties, my use-it-up project, projects I'm doing for 2015 and of course my yearly favourites.

Empties: October 2014

I told you this was going to be massive! My "empties bag" was close to full already just one week into the month, and I've had to put things next to it the last few weeks as it was absolutely overflowing. I considered making this a two-parter like I've done once before, but while it's going to be a long one I'm gonna do it all in one big post. So get that tea, or cup of coffee ready and let's do this.

Empties: September 2014

Sorry for the picture seeming kind of flipped to the side. I didn't think of making the products face the way I would be taking the picture, rather than where I was standing when laying them out. Quite silly of me, but lesson learned! For now, if you don't mind tilting your head to the side! September has been a long month. I've gone from having just started school to starting to plan for exams already. There's also been a few personal things, a funeral, but a lot of nice experiences as well. I went to Dublin for a long weekend, which was very nice. I did a bit of shopping, eating, and visiting. I'm also a bit in "spring-cleaning" mode, or fall-cleaning as it would be. I've been clearing out closets, really trying to use body and hair care products up.. I always get this way in the fall, instead of spring. I think it might be because I still see the "new year" as starting in the fall.. I know it doesn't technically, but as a student it just makes more sense. However, this is supposed to be about empties and not my cleaning habits, so I'll shut up now and move onto the quite a few products I got through the last month!
