Favourites: January 2017

So here we are - at the start of a brand new year! Since I decided to skip my December and yearly favourites all together, I have quite a few products I'm excited to share with you today. There's more than these, but as I try to keep these posts limited to 5-6 products, I'll talk about them next time.

Favourites: November 2016

So, here we are at the second-to-last, or perhaps last, favourites post of the year! Usually I skip the December favourites for my yearly favourites post. All the products featured this month are really, really good, and ones I've been using for quite a while. It's all really good stuff, and I'm excited to share them with you. I've talked about some before, but since I've been using them for a while, I felt they deserved a follow-up.

Favourites: September 2016

First of all I would just like to say sorry for being really vacant on the blog the past month, but my job has just simply required of me to be there and not here. As much as I love blogging, it's a luxury and the first thing that needs to go if I am pressed on time. Besides that, I've also travelled this month, which also didn't help in terms of having extra time. I went to Cannes for 5 days and it was absolutely fantastic! Long-time readers will know I go there quite frequently, and also used to live in Nice, so it's a place I know well. For my favourites this month I'll be sharing some absolute workhorses. The makeup especially, I've pretty much done the same look everyday all month, and I'm still not sick of it! Some of those products are featured this month, a long with just one skincare item and a perfume.

Favourites: May 2016

Summer finally hit Norway by the second half of May and has come full-blown since. The sun is out everyday and it's warm and nice and green. I don't have much skincare this month as I've been sticking to using the same stuff as I've been for a while, but there's quite a bit of makeup this time.

Review: Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette

I've been really interested in getting one of all the bronzer, blush and highlighting palettes that's been released lately as it would be super convenient for travel. Imagine then how excited I was when I saw that this was getting released with not only those three products, but also eyeshadows included!

Favourites: September 2015

September is always a weird in-between month where it's not still summer, but not quite fall yet, so it's hard to choose what clothes and what kind of makeup to wear. It was also my first month working so I really got to put some products to the test. I quickly fell into habits as I now need something I know works or know how to make work. So these are all a good selection of my go-to fool proof products that I've depended on the last 30 days.

Review: Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in 'Moodlight'

I wasn't sure if there was any point to writing a review on this as it's pretty much sold out everywhere, but decided to make a review of it anyway. Partly due to whisperings that this will indeed become a permanent part of the Tom Ford lineup (Nude Dip came back, so why not this?), partly because it is still available some places and most of all because I know that I still love to read wether limited edition items I missed out on were really worth it or if I can try to move on from my "skippers regret".

Favourites: April 2015

My favourites from April consists of some long-time favourites, as you can tell by major pan, but also some new loves. All of the products are really, really good and I'm so excited to share them with you guys! Surprisingly I've only reviewed one of these items already on the blog, so it's good I'm making a point to mention the others as these are all products you really need to check out!

Products I Want To Use Up: Update #5

My last update was in January so I figured as we're heading towards the end of March, now would be a good time to do a little update on my use-it-up project! I've finished one item since last time, and one I'm throwing away, which means I'll be adding two new products to the project as well.

Favourites: December 2014

Better late than never, here comes my last favourites post of 2014! Monthly favourites that is, I've still got one favourites of the year post coming up, and then I think I'm finished with all the round-ups from 2014. December was, as a few of you will know, filled with exams all the way until the 19th (!!) when I finally got to go home and enjoy christmas food, my parents christmas house, spending time with my family and as an extra bonus; it snowed, tonnes! December was mostly me wearing no makeup and studying, but the few products I did use were absolute gems.

Review: Chanel Camelia de Plumes Highlighting Powder

The last time Chanel released a limited edition highlighter, it was the now infamous 'Poudre Signe de Chanel'. I was on a bit of a no-buy kick and decided I didn't need a highlighter, no matter how pretty it was. Which was by all means true, and still is today. Even so, I must admit that as much as I've ever regretted not buying anything limited edition - this would be the one I've regretted the most. Especially as it keeps coming up in favourites posts and instagram pictures constantly. So when I saw the first pictures of Camelia de Plumes I knew I was definitely going to get it. No regrets this time, and definitely worth it!

Review: Armani Belladonna Highlighting Palette

I have a weakness for highlighters. I'm obsessed already with healthy glowing skin, and so highlighters are often my best friend. When I first saw pictures of the beautiful Belladonna Highlighting Palette Armani was set to release as part of their 'Effeto Nudo Collection for Spring 2014' I knew I had to have it. My love for highlighters paired with my ongoing love affair with Armani makeup made this my "ultimate makeup product".

Favourites: September 2013

University certainly doesn't get easier year by year. Not that I was expecting that, that would be silly. But I wasn't expecting to be this stressed this early on. But I am and so beauty this month has been heavy on quick, easy and sticking to a routine. The latter especially when it comes to makeup - I really don't feel like experimenting when I know there won't be time to rectify a mistake. I've also been focusing on a lot of products I want to finish and I'm finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere with those. But this post is about the products I've enjoyed the most through the month of September.

Favourites: August 2013

Finally we're heading into fall - my favourite time of year! The weather has still been all about summer here in Norway, but I've been slowly transitioning my clothes, nail polish and makeup into more fall appropriate colours and formulas. Still no dark lipstick and cozy sweaters but hopefully soon! I can't wait for it to get a bit colder so I can wear layers and cute fall jackets. I'm also looking forward to cloudy crisp fall days so that I can properly concentrate on studying for uni - am I the only one finding it hard to focus with the sun beaming in through the windows?

Favourites: August 2012

These are products that I have used and loved this month. It could be new purchases or old re-discoveries. There won't always be one in every category, as this is not for what I've been using, but products that have really stood out and that has gotten me excited about make up and skincare. Sometimes I might include things from other categories if I feel it is worth a mention, but not always.

Review: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl

Becca is probably very thankful for Lisa Eldridge's warm recommendations of their Shimmering Skin Perfectors. I can only assume sales must have skyrocketed after her video on highlighters where she talks about them was uploaded. Especially the Pearl one. It seemed to be sold out almost everywhere around London for months. Websites seemed to be sold out the same day they had re-stocked, it was crazy! I finally got my hands on one about a year and a half ago at their London Flagship store on Pelham Street.

Review: Guerlain Terracotta Golden Glimmer Powder

I recently purchased Guerlain's latest star number from their 'Sun in the City' Terracotta collection for Summer 2012. I've only had this for a few days but thought I'd still get a review up as it's limited edition and I know a lot of you are eager to know if this is worth the investment or not!

Excitement: Guerlain Golden Glimmer Powder

From the Guerlain Summer 2012 Terracotta collection 'Sun in the city' comes this beautiful golden illuminator. It's already hit my local sephora here in France, not sure about the rest of the world.
