Favourites: February 2017

For the last month of full-on winter I have quite a few long-time staples, some new favourites and a sexy perfume to share.

Empties: December 2016

Finally - here it is; my last empties post of 2016! It's really, really late, but I couldn't skip it, so at last let's see what the total numbers are for the past year.

Favourites: September 2016

First of all I would just like to say sorry for being really vacant on the blog the past month, but my job has just simply required of me to be there and not here. As much as I love blogging, it's a luxury and the first thing that needs to go if I am pressed on time. Besides that, I've also travelled this month, which also didn't help in terms of having extra time. I went to Cannes for 5 days and it was absolutely fantastic! Long-time readers will know I go there quite frequently, and also used to live in Nice, so it's a place I know well. For my favourites this month I'll be sharing some absolute workhorses. The makeup especially, I've pretty much done the same look everyday all month, and I'm still not sick of it! Some of those products are featured this month, a long with just one skincare item and a perfume.

Review: Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Eye Concentrate

After trying my first ever eye serum - Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Eye, I was instantly hooked. The difference was amazing and I re-purchased it for years. It was only after finishing my latest bottle I decided I wanted to try something else, if nothing else just to have something to compare the Estée Lauder one to.

Review: LING Hydra Squalane Advanced Nourishment Solution

Longtime readers of the blog will know my love for the LING serums. I'm currently on three I can't live without and keep re-purchasing. I've already written full reviews of two of them - the Hi-Vitamin C 12% Anti-Oxidant Brighetning Solution ( here ) and the Oxygen Plasma Potion ( here ). Both have also been featured in several favourites posts, as has the one I will be writing about today; the Hydra Squalane Advanced Nourishment Solution. I thought now was the perfect time to write about it especially, as we are all gearing up for colder months and I know a lot of you will be looking for more hydrating products soon.

Review: May Lindstrom Skin The Blue Cocoon

May Lindstrom's Blue Cocoon was something I wanted to try for a long time, before finally deciding to take the plunge about this time last year. I initially hesitated mostly as it was complicated to get shipped here, but when I discovered it on a Norwegian online retailer, and on sale on top of that, I just couldn't pass it up. May Lindstrom's products are all organic, natural, free of most typical things you don't really want, and really high quality. I've previously used and reviewed The Jasimine Garden Botanical Mist ( here ), which I loved. The Blue Cocoon I think I may actually love even more.

Review: Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum

A long while back I was given a sample of the Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Treatment. It was amazing and I really wanted to buy the full size. When I went to Aesop I noticed there was a Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum, which contained 100ml of product (compared to just 15ml in the other one), and the Serum cost just approximatively 10pounds/dollars more. I decided to try the Serum instead. After all, how different could they be, right?

Review: Clarins Mission Perfection Serum

I guess April has turned into "serum-month" as I'm about to review my third one! Though it's technically already May, which is crazy! I would've tried to write about a different type of product, but this suddenly ran out, so I kind of have to do it now.

Review: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II

I've used several bottles of the original Advanced Night Repair and wrote a full review of that on the blog that you can read here. I went on to purchase the new version after finishing my last bottle of the old version, and as I'm nearing the end of this one I thought it was time to compare the two.

Review: Maple Holistics Vitamin C Anti Aging Serum

As I've mentioned before Maple Holistics very generously sent me a few of their products this fall. I've loved everything so far. I've gone through about half of the Vitamin C serum and feel I've used it long enough to give my opinion, so here comes my review.

Favourites: February 2016

It always amazes me how much shorter February seems, even with just a few days less. It felt shorter this year as well, even with an extra day. My month has been nice overall. We had a bit of nice weather, before winter came back with a vengeance. The days are much sunnier, and I get to see some sunlight on my way to and from work so that is a really nice change. I've worn makeup leaning towards pink or purple tones, and I can feel I am definitely ready for spring to come for real.

Favourites: November 2015

For the month of November I've got a bit of a random line-up of favourites. I'm still just using the products I'm trying to use up, so I haven't been testing or re-discovering much, but I did still end up with two makeup favourites I'm excited to tell you about. I've also got a candle, skincare product and a perfume as always.

Review: Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil

For some reason I always seem to take the longest to get around to reviewing my favourite products. I think this is partly due to me knowing full well I am absolutely going to re-purchase, so I don't have to rush to write a review, as I do with the products I don't think I'll necessary re-purchase. In the aforementioned favourites category is a Pai product; the much raved about, you have probably heard of it Rosehip Oil. And finally here is my review, another rave indeed.

Review: Pai Perfect Balance Blemish Serum Copaiba & Zinc

I talked about this a little bit already in my September Favourites post, and figured as I've been using it everyday for the last two months, now was the perfect time to write a full review. Pai is a brand I've come to love and trust. As many of you know I love their Rosehip Oil, it's one of my favourite skincare finds ever, and it was also my introduction to the Pai Skincare brand. My first other serum from them was this; the Perfect Balance Blemish Serum.

Favourites: September 2015

September is always a weird in-between month where it's not still summer, but not quite fall yet, so it's hard to choose what clothes and what kind of makeup to wear. It was also my first month working so I really got to put some products to the test. I quickly fell into habits as I now need something I know works or know how to make work. So these are all a good selection of my go-to fool proof products that I've depended on the last 30 days.

Favourites: August 2015

August was quite a month for me. My brother got married, I started looking for jobs and got one, and started it straight! I've let the blog on the side as I've gotten used to the new job, which I'm sure you all understand! My August favourites are a mix of favourites I've re-purchased for my brothers wedding and fool-proof ones to make sure I've got my best face on for interviews and eventually the first days at my new job. All absolutely great products that I'm excited to share with you all.

Review: RODIN Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil

Rodin's Olio Lusso is one of those products I wanted to try for the longest time, but never did. Mostly as it's quite expensive and I've always got so much other skincare on rotation I never felt I could quite justify it. However, around new years my curiosity got the better of me and I bought it after all. It was all very exciting.

Review: LING Oxygen Plasma Potion

Since trying and being blown away by LING's Hi-Vitamin C 12% Anti-Oxidant Brightening Solution I couldn't wait to try more from the brand. I've bought several serums since and figured it was high time I review one of them, especially as I'm about to finish this one. Summer is also high-season for not wanting to wear much makeup, so I thought writing about the skin-perfecting Oxygen Plasma Potion now would be perfect timing.

Review: Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum

Caudalie's Polyphenol C 15 range was released sometime last year if I remember correctly. It was quite a grand release and everyone was very excited, including myself. Caudalie has become one of my trusted go-to brands. I always have several products from the brand in both my skincare and body care routine. Caudalie makes some of my absolute favourite products and so naturally when they release a whole new range of products that I can use, it's a good day indeed.

Review: HealGel Intensive

I've previously sung my praises for the Heal Gel 'Face' Moisturiser, and thought I should also write a post on the product that first got me into the brand! 'Intensive' isn't really described as any particular type of product, but I view it as more of a 'treatment'. You are meant to apply it locally to any problem areas and then it will magically make everything bad go away.
