This month have been very simple in the makeup department for me. It's mostly been about getting ready quick and trying to keep my skin and lips from being too dry. I am so ready for the weather to get warmer and to start wearing lighter layers!
I bought this back in the fall thinking it would be a great, and much cheaper, alternative to favourite Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Lotion. To be completely honest though, I never thought it'd ever be able to replace it.
I got to have a look at Estee Lauders new products that are to be released in the spring and summer and wanted to share it with you guys. There's some really gorgeous colours and very exciting products about to launch!
Dior's 'Tutu' from their 2013 Spring makeup collection is a gorgeous light ballerina pink. It's white based, neutral toned and absolutely gorgeous. It surprisingly goes with absolutely everything and while it's certainly girly, it's still just right to have a bit of an edge to it as well. I wear it as I would a white polish.
This has been one of my greatest skincare discoveries in a while and I honestly don't know how I would've survived the winter without it, nor do I understand how I did without it before.
When I first saw Chanel's Spring 2013 release 'Fracas' in the bottle I was a bit disappointed. It seemed a bit of an "old auntie pink". On the nails though, it's a beautiful fresh watermelon color that makes me really excited for summer!
As I've decided 2013 will be the year I make a serious downsizing of my makeup and skincare collection, the latter especially, I'm off to a good start with an insane amount of empties for the month of January. I've naturally started off by finishing up those half and almost empty bottles hanging around here and there and so the result is a long post and a lot of freed up space - a great start to the new year!
A very late January favourites, but better late than never. Between school, working and going to events to look at the summer collections and seeing what product launches are on the horizon, a lot of exciting stuff by the way!, the only other thing I've had time for lately is sleeping. But enough of the excuses, onto my January favourites.
When my Garnier 7 Days for Normal Skin was all empty I thought it would be fun to try something different to replace it. I got this body lotion by Nivea for normal to dry skin.
I had originally decided to put a hold on makeup purchases for a while, but I just couldn't resist Chanel's beautiful spring collection 'Printemps Precieux de Chanel'. Almost everything in the collection caught my eye, but I edited it down to "just" these 5 pieces.
