Review: La Prairie Ice Crystal Emulsion

La Prairie's Ice Crystal Emulsion is a product I've raved about previously in favourites posts, and as I'm about to finish my first bottle I thought it was high time I wrote a full review.

Favourites: January 2017

So here we are - at the start of a brand new year! Since I decided to skip my December and yearly favourites all together, I have quite a few products I'm excited to share with you today. There's more than these, but as I try to keep these posts limited to 5-6 products, I'll talk about them next time.

Favourites: October 2016

October has been a bit of an in-between month for me, in terms of beauty products. I've finished up a lot of products that I've been using for a while (which you'll see in my empties). I've talked about almost all of them before, and because they've lasted until the very end of the month, I haven't really put anything new to the test. With all the products I have though, I figured this would be a good opportunity to talk about some long-standing favourites, though there's at least one product I haven't talked about before.

Review: Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Jelly

Long-time readers will remember me raving about and going through tube after tube of Indeed Labs Hydraluron Serum. I still love it, there’s no reason I’m not still using it other than other things needs to be used up, and I have a tendency to be a bit unfaithful with sticking to my serums. Either way, Indeed Labs are still providing some hyaluronic acid to my life, but in the form of their Hydraluron Moisture Jelly. A product that on first glance seem very similar to the serum, but is definitely a different product.

Favourites: August 2016

After having almost the whole of July off work, August meant going back to work for me, and you'll notice a theme through this post of focusing on office-friendly items. The weather has been still nice here, but we had a week with all rain, giving a nice preview of what's to come. I personally love the fall and colder weather, so I quite loved getting my candles back out and making big pots of tea. Makeup-wise I haven't quite started wearing the darker fall colours yet. I am still doing the whole summery light and natural thing, but I am excited to get the vampy lip colours out soon. For now, here are my August favourites with a nice mix of summer and fall-esque things!

Favourites: June 2016

So I went on a bit of an unplanned and unexpected break from the blog. There was just a lot of changes happening in June, and I was really short on time, and the blog just had to be one of the things to be put on hold. I am now officially on my summer holiday though, and can't wait to have time to get back into everything. I hope you are all enjoying your holidays, or if it's not just yet for you, that you will when the time comes.

Review: May Lindstrom Skin The Blue Cocoon

May Lindstrom's Blue Cocoon was something I wanted to try for a long time, before finally deciding to take the plunge about this time last year. I initially hesitated mostly as it was complicated to get shipped here, but when I discovered it on a Norwegian online retailer, and on sale on top of that, I just couldn't pass it up. May Lindstrom's products are all organic, natural, free of most typical things you don't really want, and really high quality. I've previously used and reviewed The Jasimine Garden Botanical Mist ( here ), which I loved. The Blue Cocoon I think I may actually love even more.

Review: Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Hydrator

So, Aesop and their Parsley Seed does it again. I don't know why I haven't just gone and bought the whole Parsley Seed range already, though to be fair, there's not many products left in it that I haven't tried. Those I've tried I've all loved, this moisturiser included.

Favourites: January 2016

The first month of the year has flown by already and it's time for me to show you what products have impressed me the most so far in this brand new year. January has been very cold, dark and included my birthday at the end. As much as I love staying inside with a nice candle burning, watching youtube videos and making really good winter food, I can't wait for the weather to get at least a bit warmer. Mostly I am excited to finally have a bit of natural sunlight soon!

Review: Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream

Kate Somerville's Goat Milk Cream has been consistently raved about for years and is something I've always wanted to try. When Megan and I did a swap around new years I knew this was the number one thing I wanted to request. I was super excited when it finally landed at my doorstep and I'm happy to say I haven't been the least bit disappointed.

Favourites: July 2015

There hasn't been much of a summer here in Norway, but I've made sure to take advantage of the days when the sun and warmer temperatures did decide to peek through. Even without the typical summer weather I've still found myself gravitating towards lighter makeup and skincare as I usually do this time of year. Fall is just around the corner and even though I'm a bit sad I barely got to wear any dresses this year, I'm kind of excited as fall is my favourite time of the year! I've already started eyeing candles - but that's for next month! Now for my still-"summer"-july favourites!

Review: HealGel Face

Following my success with the original HealGel treatment, I decided to try something else by the brand, and settled on this face moisturiser. There wasn't too much to choose from, 'HealGel' still at this time only offer 4 products; the original treatment, an eye cream, a body treatment and the moisturiser I will be talking about today. A small brand with a small selection of products, but if that means every product have been thought about and developed carefully and with purpose, that's a refreshing take on things. Heal Gel Face certainly was.

Swap with Megan

For Christmas me and my friend Megan who has a youtube channel - here - decided to do a swap! Mine of course arrived way late, because the Norwegian post service (let's just leave it at that ha ha!), so I decided to save it for my birthday instead which was on January 31st. If you want to see what I sent Megan for christmas you can see her video about that here, now let me show you all the amazing things she sent me!

Favourites: August 2014

August has been a long month. We've gone from full-on summer to colder fresh fall winds by the end. I went to Rome for a week, started school and then finally rounded it all up by getting the flu. I've officially been knocked out for a week and I feel horribly stressed by everything I've got to do to catch up, but I'm sure I'll be alright soon enough. If you were wondering why there was a lack of updates on the blog, now you also know why. Through the changing weather and daily routines I've switched out a lot of products, but a few items have been used solidly from beginning til end and those are the ones I will be sharing with you today.

Review: Ren Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream

This is a review of a cream that I absolutely adore. REN is a brand I've come to trust as every product I've tried has not only been good, but gone beyond the expectations I have. Their products have fair price points, hygienically packaged and with a clear list of the main ingredients in each products with information about what each of them actually does. There's never any wild claims, but the claims they make they always deliver on. Vita Mineral is no different.

Collab: 5 Current Skincare Favourites with Megan

Me and my friend Megan over at MegsMakeup8 decided we wanted to do a collaboration post/video. We decided I would do a post on the blog, and she would make a video about our five current skincare favourites. I want to stress current and the point that this is just 5 of a lot more. This especially as I will admit having quite a problem choosing just five products. Anyone that's followed my blog for a while knows I'm quite skincare obsessed, and just now looking at this post there's so many products I can't believe I didn't include. None the less - these are indeed five of my current skincare must-haves! One thing they all have in common are that I will re-purchase (some of them for the third or forth time) when they finish - probably even way in advance!

Review: Omorovicza Balancing Moisturiser

I've been having quite the love affair with Omorovicza products lately. I've always had my eyes on the brand, and tried a good few of their products last year (and loved all of them). I've wanted to clear out my backups before delving into the undoubtedly expensive brand, and as I've finally managed to clear out most of my clutter I figured it was the right time to treat myself. Of course it didn't hurt (or help matters, depending on how you look at it) that I got a sample of this last month that made a massive impact with just two days use. Like I said in my empties - I almost didn't have a choice on wether or not to buy this - it was just too good!

Review: Creme De La Mer

Ah Creme de La Mer. This is a product that needs no introduction. We've all heard the raves from countless celebrities and otherwise fabulous people I'm sure a lot of us look up to and admire. On the other hand, we've all also heard the sobering reviews from skin care enthusiasts claiming the ingredients list totes nothing special at all and we're all just victims to a very clever marketing ploy. With so many conflicting opinions, and at such far ends of the spectrum, it's hard to know what to think. I concluded this was one I simply had to try myself, and so I did.

Favourites: May 2014

I've finally finished my exams for this year and so I'm back to blogging. May was a really fun month for me in terms of makeup and skincare. I've stuck to the same skincare routine pretty consistently and my skin has been amazing as a result. Makeup wise I haven't been doing anything too fancy as I've spent most of my time studying, but we've had really good weather so getting to use some brighter colours again has been a lot of fun.

Review: Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

Following my success with Caudalie's now cult Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum I was excited to try some nicely sized samples of other products in the Vinosource range when I bought the Serum as part of a gift set a few months back. One of the items was the Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet.
