Favourites: August 2016

After having almost the whole of July off work, August meant going back to work for me, and you'll notice a theme through this post of focusing on office-friendly items. The weather has been still nice here, but we had a week with all rain, giving a nice preview of what's to come. I personally love the fall and colder weather, so I quite loved getting my candles back out and making big pots of tea. Makeup-wise I haven't quite started wearing the darker fall colours yet. I am still doing the whole summery light and natural thing, but I am excited to get the vampy lip colours out soon. For now, here are my August favourites with a nice mix of summer and fall-esque things!

Favourites: November 2015

For the month of November I've got a bit of a random line-up of favourites. I'm still just using the products I'm trying to use up, so I haven't been testing or re-discovering much, but I did still end up with two makeup favourites I'm excited to tell you about. I've also got a candle, skincare product and a perfume as always.

Favourites: November 2014

Apologies for the lack of updates lately. My focus has solely been on preparing for my exams. Additionally, there's barely been sunshine here for almost a month now. Every day is dark and cloudy, which makes taking pictures incredibly difficult. We finally saw the sun peek through yesterday so I grabbed the chance to finally be able to snap some photos for my November Favourites post. Just as I had taken the last picture the sun disappeared and I think it'll be a while until I see it again. When I do I'll start working on the empties post for November! I may end up doing a combined November and December one if there's no sunlight for another few weeks, but now for my November Favourites!

Favourites: May 2014

I've finally finished my exams for this year and so I'm back to blogging. May was a really fun month for me in terms of makeup and skincare. I've stuck to the same skincare routine pretty consistently and my skin has been amazing as a result. Makeup wise I haven't been doing anything too fancy as I've spent most of my time studying, but we've had really good weather so getting to use some brighter colours again has been a lot of fun.

Review: Cire Trudon Abd El Kader Candle

Cire Trudon is one of the most luxurious candle creators there is. The French company was established as early as 1643 and is the oldest candle company in the world. They have a rich history, being the candle makers of many french royals such as Marie Antoinette and also emperor Napoleon. When Cire Trudon was finally available where I live I knew I had to try one of their famed candles for myself. After a bit of research and thorough sniffing I decided to try 'Abd El Kader' a few months ago and it completely changed my attitude towards scented candles - and I had a pretty favourable one already!

Favourites: January 2014

With New Years and the Holiday Season in December, plus January being my birthday month I decided to put the "using up" project a tad on the back burner and let myself use all of my favourite things for a while. It's been a beautiful two months of makeup. I've got a lot of new favourites and re-discoveries I wanted to share, but I managed to narrow it down to these six items.

Favourites: October 2013

Apologies are in order for the lack of posts lately as well as October Favourites being incredibly late. I have been ill for almost 4 weeks now and just haven't been able to find the energy. I've decided to push back October Empties until the end of this month as I want to get up posts about the Chanel Holiday collection, the items I purchased at least, so that those of you wanting my opinion on those products can get it while the collection is still available. My exams are coming up which I'm of course nervous but also kind of excited about. Excited because I'm really looking forward to them being over and really enjoying christmas! I'm going to London in the middle of December after exams are done and I am so excited! Sending good luck wishes to everyone else currently rushing to meet deadlines and remembering thousands of pages.

Guys, I cracked. Well, kind of. I've gone into the whole Dior 5 Colours Eyeshadow problem before.. It's my favourite eyeshadow formula, but I only have (had) the one, 734 Grege, as it's the only color combination I like from the vast offerings Dior have, including their limited edition releases.. Well, Grand Bal was released about a week ago here in Norway, and unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I fell in love..
