Project 7 Pan: Finale

So it seems I took a bit of an hiatus. I promised you my yearly favourites round-up, but unfortunately I'm not going to do it this year. Work has been super hectic, I've barely been home to sleep and then run back. Beyond that I'm just not excited to write a yearly favourites post. I'm not sure why. I guess 2016 was mostly for me about trying to finally use up a lot of ok products that were still hanging around. I did certainly find a lot of new things as well, but I'm just not excited to write such a big post, so I'll skip it this year. That goes for a December favourites as well. What I will be posting though, is my finale of my Project 7 Pan and after this post, my December empties.

Project 7 Pan: Update #2

This post is a bit late, as I wanted to post it before the new month. Unfortunately I've been basically living at the office for the past week, so I found no time to write it before now. As I've finished quite a few products, I wanted to get this up before my empties post as otherwise that would be a bit spoilerish. I took these pictures last weekend, and in the week since I actually finished another product, which means I've finished 4 of the products still in this project.

Project 7 Pan: Update #1

So, the first update to this project comes a bit sooner than I was expecting to make one! I did say I would update you approximatively every two weeks, and I guess I am sticking to that, but I thought for sure my next update would be at least a few days into November. Either way, I'm updating early for a good reason; I've already used up two items! Yay!

Project 7 Pan Intro

After a lot of back and forth I've decided to do another project pan. I haven't done one in a while as I got a little burnt out doing them, and also I didn't feel I really had many products I felt like panning. To be honest, the reason why I'm mostly doing this now is I realised there's quite a few things I'd love to focus on using up, and while doing that, why not do some posts and share it on the blog?

Favourites: July 2016

July was almost entirely a holiday month for me and while I'm sad it's over, part of me is actually quite happy to get back into my routines and feel a bit productive again. I went to Barcelona for my main holiday this year, and I absolutely loved it. I am definitely going back and if you haven't been yet, I absolutely recommend it, it's an amazing city! For my favourites for the past month there's some new products, some I've talked about in the past, and some I've just written reviews on. Keeping with the summer theme - these are all either bronzy warm shades of makeup, something with SPF, or of course just a light wonderful summery perfume.

Review: Chantecaille Protection Naturelle SPF 46 PA+++ Powder

It is summer so naturally I've been focusing a lot on using products containing SPF, and the higher the SPF the better in my opinion! One of those products is the Protection Naturelle Powder by Chantecaille with a whopping SPF 46! It has become a go-to for me this summer, now let me tell you why.

Favourites: February 2016

It always amazes me how much shorter February seems, even with just a few days less. It felt shorter this year as well, even with an extra day. My month has been nice overall. We had a bit of nice weather, before winter came back with a vengeance. The days are much sunnier, and I get to see some sunlight on my way to and from work so that is a really nice change. I've worn makeup leaning towards pink or purple tones, and I can feel I am definitely ready for spring to come for real.

All about: Concealers

As most of you will know, I've been on a downsize and declutter mission for a few years now. As I'm finally making decent progress in the concealer category, I thought now would be a good time to write a concealer-themed post about all my different types of concealers, how I use them, which I love, which I don't and so forth. Partly because I've now gotten around to really using everything I have, and also because I won't have so many variations around at some point, as my goal is to have just two or three. But enough about downsizing for now, this post is all about concealers!

Project Use-it-up Finale

So finally it's time for the finale of this project! I posted my first post in this series back in January 2014, you can see my first post here , which means it's actually been two years I've been doing this project for. I've obviously added a lot of new products in as I finished others and that way have finished quite a bit, but I am happy I am finishing it now as I want to do other projects this year instead. For now though, let's see how far I got with the final products in this project.

Use it Up: Update #8

I did kind of just update this project, but I've made a decent amount of progress and finished some products so I figured it'd be fun to do an update. Also, most of the people that project pan on youtube do at least a monthly update, so I guess once a month one the blog isn't too crazy either. Especially these days as I've been super into using stuff up, and basically using nothing but these products and my palette in my pan that palette challenge. Anyway, let's get this post going!

Use it Up: Update #7

This is going to be one of the better updates of this. Not that I've ever done too shabby, to be honest, but this time around I've finished a whopping 6 products. This means I'll also be adding 6 new products at the end, which is a lot. I considered not adding them and just finishing the remaining products by the end of the year, and then being done with the project, but I don't want to do that. I'd rather keep cycling through ten and another ten and another ten products, no matter what year it is or was. Either way, let's get into showing the progress I've made on the products I am still working on, what I've finished and what's going in the bin.

Favourites: June 2015

We had quite a crappy summer there for a while, but finally the skies cleared, it stopped raining and I'm wearing shorts and my trusted havaianas. I finally started self-tanning and so has taken the opportunity to pull out my darker and more tan-friendly makeup colours to get some use out of them this year as well. I'm always focused on sun protection, but at this time I'm especially on top of my game and have some GREAT products to tell you about!

Favourites: November 2014

Apologies for the lack of updates lately. My focus has solely been on preparing for my exams. Additionally, there's barely been sunshine here for almost a month now. Every day is dark and cloudy, which makes taking pictures incredibly difficult. We finally saw the sun peek through yesterday so I grabbed the chance to finally be able to snap some photos for my November Favourites post. Just as I had taken the last picture the sun disappeared and I think it'll be a while until I see it again. When I do I'll start working on the empties post for November! I may end up doing a combined November and December one if there's no sunlight for another few weeks, but now for my November Favourites!

Review: La Mer The Powder

Following my infatuation with the La Mer moisturiser, and then the lip balm it was only fitting I move on to their makeup line. 'The Powder' gets a good amount of raves on youtube, and I see it featured in many Instagram photos, but haven't seen too many full blog reviews on it. I thought I'd change that, and if you've read my other La Mer reviews, yes this is another rave..

Favourites: February 2014

February has flown by! I've been giving away and throwing away a lot of products, both skincare and makeup. Doing so has left me feeling less guilty about using only my favourite things and in so I've stuck to most of the products you see here. The February weather got very mild very quickly and it looks like winter is over in Norway for this year. The snow has certainly disappeared and it doesn't look like it's coming back. I'm already in a spring mood and ready for the temperature to rise even more! Now if only we would get some sunshine...

Chanel's holiday collection; Nuit Infinie de Chanel is stunning as always. I ended up getting three pieces plus a new powder from their permanent lineup. This post will be a general overview and first impressions on the products. I will be posting more in-depth reviews of them all individually later

Review: Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre - Natural Finish Loose Powder

Quite the popular powder in the blogosphere, I caved and picked this beauty up about 2 years ago. The Poudre Universelle Libre is ment to give a natural finish, yet keep the skin from being shiny and help makeup last longer. It also comes in gorgeous Chanel packaging with the infamous logo on top. Naturally, I was quite excited.

I wanted to write a post on this before it's completely irrelevant. Guerlain launched this seriously expensive powder with their holiday collection and it's absolutely amazing!

Favourites: December 2012

My last post in or about 2012! As I finished my 100 Days Spending Band towards the end of the year and also took a short trip to London I bought a lot of new products in December. They were all things I had wanted for a long time, so no surprise, a lot of them are featured in this post!

Favourites: October 2012

First of all, let me apologize for the lack of posts lately. I'm in the middle of exams and so getting good grades have to be the main priority. I have decided that after my favourites, empties and possibly my 100 days spending ban "reflection post" goes up I will force myself to go on hiatus until all my exams are done. But more on that in a seperate post. Onto my October favourites!
