Favourites: June 2015

We had quite a crappy summer there for a while, but finally the skies cleared, it stopped raining and I'm wearing shorts and my trusted havaianas. I finally started self-tanning and so has taken the opportunity to pull out my darker and more tan-friendly makeup colours to get some use out of them this year as well. I'm always focused on sun protection, but at this time I'm especially on top of my game and have some GREAT products to tell you about!

Products I Want To Use Up: Update #5

My last update was in January so I figured as we're heading towards the end of March, now would be a good time to do a little update on my use-it-up project! I've finished one item since last time, and one I'm throwing away, which means I'll be adding two new products to the project as well.

Products I Want To Use Up: Update #4

I figured it was time to do an update on my progress as we've moved into a new year! Especially as I've managed to finish three more products and making good progress with others. If you missed it, I've decided to have this more as an always-ongoing project rather than a finish-by-the-end-of-the-year specific. This means that I'll keep on adding more items as I finish them, always having 10 "on the go".

Favourites: November 2014

Apologies for the lack of updates lately. My focus has solely been on preparing for my exams. Additionally, there's barely been sunshine here for almost a month now. Every day is dark and cloudy, which makes taking pictures incredibly difficult. We finally saw the sun peek through yesterday so I grabbed the chance to finally be able to snap some photos for my November Favourites post. Just as I had taken the last picture the sun disappeared and I think it'll be a while until I see it again. When I do I'll start working on the empties post for November! I may end up doing a combined November and December one if there's no sunlight for another few weeks, but now for my November Favourites!

Collab: 5 Current Skincare Favourites with Megan

Me and my friend Megan over at MegsMakeup8 decided we wanted to do a collaboration post/video. We decided I would do a post on the blog, and she would make a video about our five current skincare favourites. I want to stress current and the point that this is just 5 of a lot more. This especially as I will admit having quite a problem choosing just five products. Anyone that's followed my blog for a while knows I'm quite skincare obsessed, and just now looking at this post there's so many products I can't believe I didn't include. None the less - these are indeed five of my current skincare must-haves! One thing they all have in common are that I will re-purchase (some of them for the third or forth time) when they finish - probably even way in advance!

Sorry for being a little late with my June Favourites, but I've been travelling a bit the last few weeks and simply didn't have time to sit down and make a post until now. I've been on two shorter trips to Copenhagen and Berlin, plus one of our cabins here in Norway. I've bought quite a few beauty bits lately and will have some really exciting products to review for you! But that's in the future, now for the past and what I've been loving for the month of June!

Spring is finally here and I've been focusing on fresher scents, lighter colours and tempting a tad more of a bronzed and glowy face. I have quite a few goodies in this favourites post. Most of them are brand new, some just new to me - but they are all absolutely fantastic!

Review: Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster

Clarins is known for their self tanning products. Across the board their whole self-tanning line is high quality giving a natural, long lasting and evenly fading tan. It's a brand myself, and many others, have grown to trust to give that much desired healthy glow. Upon hearing the news of them releasing a new product into their little tanning "family" I knew it was something I had to try.

After falling in love with Guerlain's limited edition Sunless self-tanner from their Terracotta line I wanted to try some more of their summer skincare products. I bought the Sun Scrub and the Jambes De Gazelle which is an instant tan. This post is about the scrub.

I have kept at it, somewhat reluctantly, testing self tanners for you guys! Though I was initially a bit scared of ending up testing a really bad one where I would have to walk around looking like an idiot for days, I have to say I've been all-round quite impressed and haven't had any bad experiences. Clarins' Delectable Self-Tanning Mousse is no exception.

I've been trying a couple and first up for review is this extravagant, expensive fancy french one by Institut Esthederm. Worth it though?

All used up: Lancome Flash Bronzer Self-Tanner Face Gel

This product, promising "record application", whatever that means, has been a staple in my beauty routine for about a year and a half now. Having converted fully to the everyday high SPF anti sun group, I have resorted to self tanners to provide a much needed glow to my face that otherwise leaves me looking sallow, tired and half dead.
