Empties: March 2015

I went through my makeup last month and found a few things to get rid of again. The way things are going with me buying a lot less makeup overall, using stuff up and being able to "let go" of more and more stuff I think I might have a much more condensed and manageable "collection" by the end of the year, which is very exciting to me. I also finished quite a few skincare items and other bits that I've been working on for a while, like a face mask. There's also a few staples in here. Overall it's a good one, and one I hope to match next month!

Spring is finally officially here! The snow has almost all disappeared in Oslo and while it's still not super warm, I've been enjoying the milder weather with some long walks around town with my boyfriend. I'm about to head up to the cabin to celebrate easter with my family, but thought I'd do a quick post about my March favourites before I go!

Review: NUDE Perfect Cleanse Cleansing Jelly

Nude's Omega Treatment Oil is one of my favourite oils and so when I found myself in a Space.NK last fall it wasn't a hard sell trying to get me to try their (then) new cleanser. It comes packed full of nutritious ingredients, and without all the "nasties" - it was already a winner on paper, and I certainly wasn't let down when I started using it.

Products I Want To Use Up: Update #5

My last update was in January so I figured as we're heading towards the end of March, now would be a good time to do a little update on my use-it-up project! I've finished one item since last time, and one I'm throwing away, which means I'll be adding two new products to the project as well.

I've been smitten with Armani foundations ever since falling in love with Lasting Silk two years ago and couldn't wait to try one of the most hyped foundations of all. I've had this for a while, but as I've been using it a lot lately I figured this was the perfect time to write a review.

Review: Nars Eye Paint in 'Porto Venere'

Porto Venere was released as part of Nars' 'Nude Scene' Spring 2015 collection. I've heard that it's not actually limited edition, but I can't say that for sure. Either way, it would make a lot of sense if this is indeed permanent, as it has potential of reaching staple status for many.

Empties: February 2015

I didn't finish an incredible amount of stuff in February, but I finished quite a few things "naturally", meaning I finished them not because I tried to, but because I've used them up and enjoyed them. So there's quite a few goodies in this post. There's also a very evenly distributed type of products which is fun. I've also downsized some in February, not much, but I can tell you there will be a few makeup items getting thrown away in March as there are a couple already, but that's for next month!

Favourites: February 2015

It's crazy how much shorter February feels every year even though it's just missing a few days. February was a fun month for me. I had a lot to do at school with presentations and exams, but I also took a trip to Copenhagen with my boyfriend which was a lot of fun. We just enjoyed the city with good food, good wine and a bit of shopping. If you haven't been to Copenhagen I really recommend going, it's a really nice city. But now for some beauty recommendations!

Released as part of Nars' 'Nude Scene' Spring 2015 Collection - Valhalla probably doesn't strike you as something very special, but don't let the initial non-impression fool you, this is a lot more special than it looks.

Review: Nars 'NARSissist' Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Palette

Well how lucky was I that I didn't get tempted to try the Dual Intensity shadows until recently, when the release of this palette was already announced. Eight shadows, albeit smaller than the singles, for USD 79 at a whopping USD 218 value! Even if you've got some of these shades stashed away in your Muji drawers (or other drawers if you are more original than the rest of us!) this is one that everyone should be giving a second look.
