Review: REN Clearcalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser

I always wondered how one could cleanse with clay as it's usually a thicker consistency I didn't feel would be too nice to start rubbing across the skin. For this reason, as well as all the raves, I was always quite curious to try this to see how it works.

Review: Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

As I was writing my November Empties post I realised that while I had taken the pictures for this post, I'd never actually written it. So here it finally is, quite a rave about the second Oskia cleanser to make my favourites list this year.

Favourites: October 2015

So the problem with focusing on using stuff up is when the time comes to write a favourites post. I've pretty much stuck to the same makeup and skincare for the entire month, and the same as I used last month. It's great, cause I'm really getting somewhere with using up my stash, but I don't have much new stuff to talk about. There's two products here that I did just talk about, but they were the two products that stood out the most this month, so it felt natural to include them anyway.

Review: La Prairie Purifying Cream Cleanser

When I bought this it was mostly for fun - to see how such an expensive cleanser, from what I find to often be quite a nice overall skincare brand, would compare to the now quite vast amount of other cleansers I've used. I didn't expect too much, a lot of cleansers are much of the same, but have to say I've been really impressed - this really is a great cleanser!

Review: NUDE Perfect Cleanse Cleansing Jelly

Nude's Omega Treatment Oil is one of my favourite oils and so when I found myself in a Space.NK last fall it wasn't a hard sell trying to get me to try their (then) new cleanser. It comes packed full of nutritious ingredients, and without all the "nasties" - it was already a winner on paper, and I certainly wasn't let down when I started using it.

Collab: 5 Current Skincare Favourites with Megan

Me and my friend Megan over at MegsMakeup8 decided we wanted to do a collaboration post/video. We decided I would do a post on the blog, and she would make a video about our five current skincare favourites. I want to stress current and the point that this is just 5 of a lot more. This especially as I will admit having quite a problem choosing just five products. Anyone that's followed my blog for a while knows I'm quite skincare obsessed, and just now looking at this post there's so many products I can't believe I didn't include. None the less - these are indeed five of my current skincare must-haves! One thing they all have in common are that I will re-purchase (some of them for the third or forth time) when they finish - probably even way in advance!

Review: Clarins Extra-Comfort Anti-Pollution Cleansing Cream

I've been sticking to cleansing creams as my morning cleanse for a good while now. I've loved my Aesop Cleansing Cream and stuck to that for a long time, but did finally decide I wanted to venture out and try some of the other offerings out there. I got this new cleanser by Clarins as a gift a little while back and so naturally I moved on to this when I finished my Aesop tube a few months back.

Review: REN Rosa Centifolia No. 1 Purity Cleansing Balm

For a while I've been sticking to using my Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm in the evenings and the Aesop Purifying Clay Cream Cleanser in the mornings, and loving it. Usually when I go away for a few days I'm happy to resort to cleanser samples, which most of the time are foaming cleansers. However, in December I was going to spend almost 3/4 of it away and I didn't want to foam up for such a long time. I therefore decided to buy the newly re-formulated REN Cleansing Balm in the tube as it's a cleansing balm that I can actually travel with. I have been using it everyday since and the results have been absolutely amazing.

Review: Aesop Purifying Cream Cleanser

I've never really been too interested in Aesop products. Not un-interested, but they never really sparked that "need to try!". No idea why. I'm just as puzzled therefore as to where the sudden urge to try everything Aesop came from, but it did the past month or two and so I've hauled quite a few bits from the brand. One of the first products I picked up was the Purifying Cream Cleanser.

Review: Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm

Omorovicza is a brand I've wanted to try for the longest time. The only reason I haven't is because it's not available in Norway and I like to see products in person before I buy, especially at this price. And Omorovicza really is a luxury brand, but one with a great philosophy behind it.

Review: Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm

Most of you have probably read about a hundred reviews on this already, so I wasn't sure if I should bother writing one or not. Still, for those of you that do appreciate my opinion on products and are still curious or on the fence about this product I figured another review could always be helpful.

Favourites: March 2013

Oddly I feel this past month went by slowly instead of too fast, which is usually the case. I think it might be because exams are slowly getting closer and closer and I, personally, would just like them to get here so I can be done with them already. March is one of those in-between months and so my makeup and skincare needs have been a bit back and forth and will probably be a bit for April as well. Here are the favourite products I used in March.

Review: Soap and Glory The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser

After finishing what little was left of my Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, and being quite pleased with it this time around, it seemed natural to move onto my Soap and Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser that many would consider a dupe, and rightfully so.

Haul: A Few New Things

I picked up, and was gifted, a few new things this past month that I thought I'd share with you guys. There's so many exciting new launches coming this spring and summer, not even half of which are out yet, so it's hard to keep up. These are a few things, a few of them new products, that I'm excited to try out.

Empties: October 2012

I continue to be amazed at how many products I go through every month. This month especially there's a lot of full sized products. I've also made it my mission to try and use the samples I've got lying around in an effort to save money and also, obviously, to try a couple of new things which is always exciting.

Review: Lancome Gel Eclat

Lancome doesn't get much free press in the blogsphere and sometimes I wonder why. Especially their skincare which has quite the cult following. For years their skincare was the only products I'd let come anywhere near my face. After trying out a bunch of different skincare brands and products, and while I did discover some amazing stuff, I found myself missing some of my old staples, especially as I had pretty good skin when last using the brand. And so I went and picked up my old favorite, Gel Eclat, hoping it would still be as good as I remembered it to be.

Review: Shiseido Pureness Exfoliating Cleanser, Toner and Mattifying Moisturizer

I just realised the other day that I haven't written a review on this line yet and I can't believe it's taken me this long to get around to. Some of you may be very well aquainted with Shiseido's skincare, but I find a lot of people haven't tried much from the range. That included me up until about a year ago. My skin was slowly clearing up, but I was still looking for that perfect skincare routine that would finally get it back to it's previous good state. On my way to Cannes last summer I picked up the tester kit at the airport and so the adventure began...

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and Instant Boost Skin Tonic

Anyone following any british beauty blogs or youtube gurus will have heard these mentioned time and time again. They seem to become everyone and their mothers holy grail cleanser and the one everyone seems to eventually return to. I was of course intrigued like the rest of you and bought my own "starter kit" almost a year ago.

Review: Avène Extremely Gentle Cleanser

If you have sensitive skin, Avène is a brand you will have heard mentioned again and again. Almost all of their products, like so many french pharmacy skincare brands, are suitable for, if not targeted at, sensitive and irritated skin. Their Thermal Water spray  (Eau Thermale) is a favorite of mine, and this cleanser is supposed to be "Rich in thermal spring water" so I figured I'd give it a go!
