Favourites: June 2015

We had quite a crappy summer there for a while, but finally the skies cleared, it stopped raining and I'm wearing shorts and my trusted havaianas. I finally started self-tanning and so has taken the opportunity to pull out my darker and more tan-friendly makeup colours to get some use out of them this year as well. I'm always focused on sun protection, but at this time I'm especially on top of my game and have some GREAT products to tell you about!

If you want to see what I sent Megan for christmas you can see her video about that here, now let me show you all the amazing things she sent me!

Review: Hand Chemistry Extreme Hydration Concentrate

Hand Chemistry is a brand that is fairly new to me. It's sold in Boots, and Lookfantastic that I know of and my impression is that it's pretty popular over in England. The brand has a very small selection of products, where each product seems to have been created with a lot of care and purpose. When I had the opportunity to test the Extreme Hydration Concentrate version of their hand creams I jumped at the chance. And who better to put this properly to the test than a girl with very dry hands, in Norway, in winter time?

Favourites: July 2014

July has been an amazing month! The weather in Norway has been absolutely perfect - warm and not a cloud in the sky! I've had holidays for most of the month and have spent the time with family and my boyfriend. I've travelled a bit, but also stayed home and enjoyed doing nothing. The month has been fun in terms of makeup, somewhat surprisingly. I picked up a few new items in Berlin, and since getting back, that have all met expectations, or beyond.

Favourites: September 2013

University certainly doesn't get easier year by year. Not that I was expecting that, that would be silly. But I wasn't expecting to be this stressed this early on. But I am and so beauty this month has been heavy on quick, easy and sticking to a routine. The latter especially when it comes to makeup - I really don't feel like experimenting when I know there won't be time to rectify a mistake. I've also been focusing on a lot of products I want to finish and I'm finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere with those. But this post is about the products I've enjoyed the most through the month of September.

Favourites: March 2013

Oddly I feel this past month went by slowly instead of too fast, which is usually the case. I think it might be because exams are slowly getting closer and closer and I, personally, would just like them to get here so I can be done with them already. March is one of those in-between months and so my makeup and skincare needs have been a bit back and forth and will probably be a bit for April as well. Here are the favourite products I used in March.

Review: Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Intensive Hand Treatment SPF 8

As I suffer from dry hands if there's any product I've tested literally hundreds of (not really, but a lot!) it's hand creams. Especially throughout winter I usually have to re-apply handcream almost hourly. Add to that my obsession with personal hygiene meaning constantly washing my hands plus very frequent use of hand sanitizers and a good hand cream is an absolute must. Second only to dry lips, dry hands are one of those things I simply cannot deal with.

Empties: November 2012

Here comes my very, very late November Empties post. It's a proper November empties though, as I started collecting my December empties in a separate bag when the new month started.

Review: The Body Shop Wild Rose Nourishing Hand Butter for Mature Skin

I first got introduced to The Body Shop's hand creams about a year ago when a friend bought me their popular hemp hand cream. I was quite pleased with it, though wasn't too fond of the scent. When I then saw they had just released a few new scents I excitedly picked a few up, one of them was the Wild Rose Nourisihing Hand Butter for mature skin. I bought it with the intention of using it as an over night treatment and so got the cotton gloves with it as well.

Review: Yves Rocher Arnica Essentiel Precious hand and nail oil

Yves Rocher is a line that doesn't get talked about much. It's understandable, as there aren't many free standing stores anywhere I've lived before, but when I moved to France they were pretty much everywhere, and a lot of french women use their skincare products, as well as their make-up!

Review: Eucerin Repair Hand Creme

Who doesn't like Eucerin products? I mean, it might not be all that with bells on, but if your looking for a simple, no scent, no irritation, does exactly what it says product, eucerin usually delivers.
