Favourites: June 2016

So I went on a bit of an unplanned and unexpected break from the blog. There was just a lot of changes happening in June, and I was really short on time, and the blog just had to be one of the things to be put on hold. I am now officially on my summer holiday though, and can't wait to have time to get back into everything. I hope you are all enjoying your holidays, or if it's not just yet for you, that you will when the time comes.

Review: May Lindstrom Skin The Blue Cocoon

May Lindstrom's Blue Cocoon was something I wanted to try for a long time, before finally deciding to take the plunge about this time last year. I initially hesitated mostly as it was complicated to get shipped here, but when I discovered it on a Norwegian online retailer, and on sale on top of that, I just couldn't pass it up. May Lindstrom's products are all organic, natural, free of most typical things you don't really want, and really high quality. I've previously used and reviewed The Jasimine Garden Botanical Mist ( here ), which I loved. The Blue Cocoon I think I may actually love even more.

Favourites: May 2016

Summer finally hit Norway by the second half of May and has come full-blown since. The sun is out everyday and it's warm and nice and green. I don't have much skincare this month as I've been sticking to using the same stuff as I've been for a while, but there's quite a bit of makeup this time.

Favourites: April 2016

April was a long month. Initially we got some nice weather with promises of spring and sun and all the good stuff, then the weather changed it's mind and we got cold, darkness and even a bit of snow! Other than that I had a fairly quiet month with no travelling, but we did paint the apartment which has been really exciting. In the product department I still didn't buy any new makeup, so those products are re-discoveries, but I do have three brand new skincare items (to me) to talk about. Let's get to it!

Review: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum II

I received the first Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum as a press sample before it was even released, and have re-purchased it since. The new version, Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum II was released some time after, and I went straight onto trying the new version. I've reviewed the first one, and thought I might as well review the new updated version as well.

Review: Supergoop Advanced Anti-Aging Eye Cream SPF 37

Spring has officially arrived and we're heading into summer. I thought now would be the perfect time to start reviewing some SPF products. I personally believe in wearing sunscreen all year round all day every day, but I know for most people it's more of a summer thing. Either way, this is a fantastic product, now let me tell you all the reasons why!

Review: Clinique Superdefense Age Defence Eye Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 20

I use SPF 50 every day on my face. Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall. Every single day. Even if I'm at home. I've previously taken this around my eye area as well, but wasn't sure if it was really the best idea. This because you always hear warnings about how you shouldn't really take products too close to the eye that aren't specifically meant for it. Then one day I saw the Clinique Superdefense Age Defence Eye Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 20. Having read no reviews, never heard it mentioned, nor even bothering to read the incredibly long name fully - I grabbed one and went straight to the cashier.

Favourites: September 2013

University certainly doesn't get easier year by year. Not that I was expecting that, that would be silly. But I wasn't expecting to be this stressed this early on. But I am and so beauty this month has been heavy on quick, easy and sticking to a routine. The latter especially when it comes to makeup - I really don't feel like experimenting when I know there won't be time to rectify a mistake. I've also been focusing on a lot of products I want to finish and I'm finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere with those. But this post is about the products I've enjoyed the most through the month of September.

Review: La Prairie Cellular Eye Contour Cream

I got this as a bit of a christmas treat for myself last year (2012) after being blown away when using a few samples of it. The full sized product has not disappointed, to say the least, and I figured it was time I write up a review for you guys.

Haul: Huge Collective Haul - Part 1 & A New Sort-Of Empties Project!

I didn't want to post too many haul posts so I figured I'd make one gigantic post about all the new beauty products I own with the intention of showing it so that you could let me know if there is something in particular you would like for me to do a review on. Believe it or not, I actually forgot a few things when taking the pictures for this post, so that's why this is 'Part 1'. Part 2 will be a much, much smaller post, thank god.

Empties: November 2012

Here comes my very, very late November Empties post. It's a proper November empties though, as I started collecting my December empties in a separate bag when the new month started.

Review: Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Eye & Lip Care

After finishing my Lancome Primordiale Yeux I pulled out my samples of this and decided to put it properly to the test. Guerlain's Orchidée Impériale Eye & Lip Care retails for £104 (Debenhams) so my expectations were quite high. It also had to be  significantly better than other, much cheaper eye creams to properly warrant the hefty price tag.

Favourites: August 2012

These are products that I have used and loved this month. It could be new purchases or old re-discoveries. There won't always be one in every category, as this is not for what I've been using, but products that have really stood out and that has gotten me excited about make up and skincare. Sometimes I might include things from other categories if I feel it is worth a mention, but not always.

Guide to: Eye creams or "My eye creams and why I need all of them"

Let me just start by saying that I did not go out and buy all of these in one day, I also did not plan on purchasing all of these, it just kind of happened over time and while using them realised I couldn't live without an eye cream in each of these categories.

Review: Lancome Primordiale Yeux Skin Recharge Visible Smoothing Renewing Eye Moisturiser

First of all, why doesn't eye creams ever have SPF in them? Surely this is an area we really need to protect from the harmful rays of the sun, and I always feel veary when putting my regular face sun screens all over my eyes, so if anyone could enlighten me I would love to know why!
