Empties: October 2015

In October I unfortunately only managed to finish one makeup item, but I did finish quite a bit of full-size skincare. I focused my attention on using up more perfume samples as I really want to start clearing those out as I've got quite a back-up. There's a whole drawer dedicated to different sized perfume samples that I'd like to use for storing something else. Otherwise I'm hoping I'll finish more makeup next month, and think I just might as there's a few things nearing it's end. But for now, onto my empties for October.

Review: La Prairie Cellular Refining Lotion

Toners are probably the skincare product most are divided on wether or not is necessary to use. You'll find just as knowledgeable professionals as the other either recommending them wholeheartedly, or telling you it's one to skip. Personally I love toner and could never skip the step. I've found some absolute favourites I've shared before and am always looking to try new ones. As a fan of quite a few of La Prairie's products it was just a matter of time before I picked up one of their beautifully packaged toners. I ended up with the Cellular Refining Lotion, or the blue one as I like to call it.

Review: Pangea Organics Facial Toner Italian Green Mandarin & Sweet Lime

I had never heard of Pangea Organics either, until this year. Pangea takes organic to the next level, where it's also about sustainable production and using packaging that can be recycled. The products themselves are 100% plant-based, but the boxes the products come in is what I find amazing. The boxes incorporate organic seeds, so if you take the label off and soak the box in water you can actually plant it! I'm all for preserving the earth, so when I learned this I got really excited to try the brand and really wanted to like it.

Review: May Lindstrom Skin The Jasmine Garden Botanical Mist

If I had to use everything from just one skincare brand I think I would go for May Lindstrom. Her products are all organic and 'home grown', made with care and purpose, and everything is so incredibly thought out I almost forget to even look at the ingredients or reviews as I've come to completely trust every product she makes. Not only are they amazing products that just simply deliver, they are also incredible for the mind and soul and helps you remember to take those few extra seconds to just enjoy the moment. This all sounds a bit 'out there' to most of you I'm sure, but there's just no other way to describe her line of products. Today I wanted to write about The Jasmine Garden Botanical Mist and if you couldn't tell - I absolutely love it.

Favourites: April 2015

My favourites from April consists of some long-time favourites, as you can tell by major pan, but also some new loves. All of the products are really, really good and I'm so excited to share them with you guys! Surprisingly I've only reviewed one of these items already on the blog, so it's good I'm making a point to mention the others as these are all products you really need to check out!

Review: Jurlique Herbal Recovery Night Mist

Jurlique is a brand I've seen mentioned many places, but never have tried or read too much about on blogs and the likes. I've been intrigued by many products by the brand, but never ended up actually trying anything. Finally this fall when I found myself out of toner I decided to take the plunge and order the Herbal Recovery Mist. It sounded too good from the description not to give a try!

Review: Pai Lotus & Orange Blossom BioAffinity Skin Tonic

I picked up the Pai BioAffinity Skin Tonic on a bit of a whim when I was visiting Dublin this September. I was re-purchasing Pai's infamous Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil, now a firm favourite of mine, and decided to try something else from the brand and settled on something I actually needed; a new toner.

Review: Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist

Omorovicza is a fantastic brand. I love everything about it. Their products have really good ingredients, and none of the bad ones, packaging is simple but super luxe. They have a smaller, but really nice selection of products and everything I've tried has been absolutely positively amazing. I've written a few Omorovicza reviews on the blog already, but figured it was high time I finally wrote a small piece on their probably most famous product; the Queen of Hungary Mist!

Collab: 5 Current Skincare Favourites with Megan

Me and my friend Megan over at MegsMakeup8 decided we wanted to do a collaboration post/video. We decided I would do a post on the blog, and she would make a video about our five current skincare favourites. I want to stress current and the point that this is just 5 of a lot more. This especially as I will admit having quite a problem choosing just five products. Anyone that's followed my blog for a while knows I'm quite skincare obsessed, and just now looking at this post there's so many products I can't believe I didn't include. None the less - these are indeed five of my current skincare must-haves! One thing they all have in common are that I will re-purchase (some of them for the third or forth time) when they finish - probably even way in advance!

Review: Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Toner

The last half of 2013 I got introduced to Aesop, and I've loved most of what I've tried and everything I've bought. One of the first purchases I made was the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Toner.

Review: Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

Clarins' famed Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner, or "Bright Plus HP Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel" if your in the US, has received quite the hype this past year. I bought my first bottle in the spring and *spoiler alert* - just re-purchased and so I thought now would be the perfect time to share my thoughts.

My Morning Skincare Routine: July 2013

Seeing as I'm quite obsessed with skincare and have been for a while, I figured a post about my skincare routines would be fitting. I've split them into two parts; morning and evening.

First a little bit about my skin; It's fairly normal, but is somewhat dehydrated and can lean oily at times, mostly during the summer months, but only in the t-zone. I'm your bog standard combination skin. My skin has been quite the independent soul, doing whatever it pleased in the past, but I've got it under control now and have had it that way for almost the last two years. Please take my skincare advice with a pinch of salt as I'm not a dermatologist or in any way a skincare specialist. I am only sharing what I do in the hopes that it might give someone an idea of what to try if they are looking to improve their skin.

100 Days Spending Ban is Over HAUL!

Quite an overdue post, as will the next couple ones be, but better late than never! My final exam finished on the 17th and it's so nice to be done finally. Now however I am in the midst of the christmas rush and am also working every day after my own wishes so am still quite busy. Thank god I finished my gifts back in November and all that was left was to wrap them, it took me 5 long hours yesterday though! This post is about the stuff I bought after I finished my 100 day spending ban. It is quite a few weeks ago now, and I have to admit there are quite a few more hauls coming after this one. It's been nice to write this post now still as it reminds me of how excited I was when I bought all these products.

Empties: October 2012

I continue to be amazed at how many products I go through every month. This month especially there's a lot of full sized products. I've also made it my mission to try and use the samples I've got lying around in an effort to save money and also, obviously, to try a couple of new things which is always exciting.

Favourites: October 2012

First of all, let me apologize for the lack of posts lately. I'm in the middle of exams and so getting good grades have to be the main priority. I have decided that after my favourites, empties and possibly my 100 days spending ban "reflection post" goes up I will force myself to go on hiatus until all my exams are done. But more on that in a seperate post. Onto my October favourites!

Review: Shiseido Pureness Exfoliating Cleanser, Toner and Mattifying Moisturizer

I just realised the other day that I haven't written a review on this line yet and I can't believe it's taken me this long to get around to. Some of you may be very well aquainted with Shiseido's skincare, but I find a lot of people haven't tried much from the range. That included me up until about a year ago. My skin was slowly clearing up, but I was still looking for that perfect skincare routine that would finally get it back to it's previous good state. On my way to Cannes last summer I picked up the tester kit at the airport and so the adventure began...

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and Instant Boost Skin Tonic

Anyone following any british beauty blogs or youtube gurus will have heard these mentioned time and time again. They seem to become everyone and their mothers holy grail cleanser and the one everyone seems to eventually return to. I was of course intrigued like the rest of you and bought my own "starter kit" almost a year ago.
