Empties: September & October 2017

Time ran away from me in September, so I am doing a combined empties post for September and October in one go. Get yourself a cup of tea, it's going to be a massive one!

La Prairie Purifying Cream Cleanser 200ml ( here )
My favourite morning cleanser. This is light-weight, but still does a decent job of cleaning the skin, all without irritating or stripping it. My go-to for over 6 years now, and I still haven't found anything that can compete!

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter 90ml ( here )
This is a really good cleansing balm that is great value for money. I massage this across clean, dry skin and remove with a damp cloth. I love it because it's easy to get off, and doesn't leave any residue.

Bioderma Solution Micellaire 500ml ( here )
The best makeup remover - face and eye makeup. I will always re-purchase this.

Filorga Optim-Eyes Lotion Eye Make-up Remover Serum 110ml ( here )
This is a really good eye make-up remover. It has a serum in it that is supposed to help treat and condition the lashes and skin, and help lashes grow stronger and longer. I'm not sure I saw any of those effects, but it is efficient at removing makeup, without irritating my eyes, and hydrating the skin around the eyes.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc 300ml ( here )
I spray this all over my face every morning, after washing my face, and gently pat it into the skin before letting it absorb. It calms, heals, balances and keeps skin clear and blemish-free.

Ole Henriksen PowerPeel here )
This is a really good chemical peel. It's really powerful, so if you have sensitive skin or tend to react to stronger acids, you might want to proceed with caution. Makes skin super soft, smooth, brighter and more even toned.

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation 50ml ( here )
This is a very nice day and night cream, that I personally only use as a day cream. If you have anything from normal to dry skin, this won't be enough for night time. It keeps my skin balanced, but hydrated, and helps with texture, hyper pigmentation and helps fight any breakouts or redness.

Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil 30ml ( here )
My favourite rosehip oil. I've used this for years, and will continue to re-purchase. This hydrates, heals, plumps, and keeps skin clear. It doesn't clog pores, but it does feel a bit heavy on the skin, so it's something I reserve for use overnight.

By Terry Cellularose Eye Contour 2g ( here )
This was ok, I only got a few uses out of the sachet, so I didn't really use it enough to form an opinion, but it certainly didn't wow me.

DECIEM NIOD Survival 30 30ml ( here )
This is fantastic! It's a bit sticky and difficult to use, and I did go through it way too quickly - but beyond that, it's one of the best sunscreens I've ever used. It didn't irritate or clog the skin, it had a slight tint that made skintone more even, my skin felt stronger and healthier almost immediately. I've already ordered another bottle and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival in the post!

La Mer The Eye Balm Intense 15ml ( here )
A great eye cream. It mostly just hydrates, but it hydrates a lot, and that's mostly what I need at the moment. The skin around my eyes were visibly more plump, hydrated and healthy looking while I was using this. I have some eye creams to go through, and there are so many I would like to try at this price point, but I still see myself re-purchasing this. I really enjoyed using it.

Supergoop! Advanced Anti-Aging Eye Cream SPF 37 15ml ( here )
My favourite daytime eye cream for years! Unfortunately it's not available in Europe anymore, something to do with the way it's packaged, I've been told. I've managed to hunt down another eye cream with SPF, for now, but if they ever get around to re-packaging this, making it available on the European market again, I will stock up once again.

Kanebo Sensai Cleansing Cream 30ml ( here )
This is a super lighter cleansing cream, perfect for a quick morning cleanse.

Ole Henriksen Brightening The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths 10 Cloths x 2 ( here )
These are the only cleansing wipes I'll use. These 10-packs are perfect for travel.

Sachajuan Body Wash in Shiny Citrus 300ml ( here )
The Sachajuan Body Washes all smell nice, but I have to use so much product at a time, and finish the bottle in little over a month. For the price these goes for, that's not ok.

Korres Water Lily Showergel 250ml ( here )
This, however, is really good. I don't need too much at a time, it lathers up nicely, but isn't too harsh on the skin - and it smells amazing!

Molton Brown Templetree Body Wash 100ml ( here )
Speaking of body washes that smell amazing - Molton Brown certainly have some of the best smelling body washes there is. The product itself is also way up there - silky smooth texture that lathers up really well, but is still gentle on the skin.

The Body Shop Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil 170ml ( here )
This was very nice. Not too thick, but still super hydrating, softening and smelled amazing.

Molton Brown Blissful Templetree Bath & Shower 30ml ( here )
Same goes for this as the bigger Molton Brown Shower Gel above.

Clarins Body Shaping Cream 200ml ( here )
This is an incredible body lotion. It's thicker than a lotion, but much, much lighter than a butter. It spreads across the skin super easily, and absorbs quickly. You need very little to cover your entire body. It leaves skin super smooth, hydrated and glowing. One of the best body treatments I've ever used, I will definitely re-purchase.

Korres Water Lily Body Lotion 200ml ( here )
A decent body lotion, I have no complaints. It absorbs well, hydrates well, but I've used more hydrating body lotions. If you have really dry skin I don't think this will be enough. Beyond that it smells really good!

Biotherm Lait Corporel Body Lotion 400ml ( here )
My all-time favourite body lotion for light hydration on the upper body. I will probably keep purchasing this forever, I've already used it religiously since I was 12, and am now 28 with no intentions of switching it out.

Kiehl's Creme de Corps 75ml ( here )
A fantastic body lotion. This does leave the skin a bit greasy, so it's not one to throw on quickly right before putting on clothes. It does give the skin an amazing glow, and hydrates really well. If you are showing off your legs or arms, this will make them appear soft and with a healthy shine.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius 50ml ( here )
A decent foot cream, but nothing spectacular. Decent.

Ole Henriksen Empower Hydrating Hand Cream 60ml ( discontinued)
This is a good hand cream. It absorbs quickly, but hydrates well. Unfortunately it's been discontinued.

Tony Moly Happy Sweet Holiday Cinnamon Cookie Hand Cream 30ml ( limited edition )
This was ok. It smelled a lot and the scent wasn't my favourite, so I didn't particularly enjoy it. It also wasn't all that hydrating, which was ok for summer, but it wouldn't be enough for keeping my hands hydrated during the winter months.

Nivea Protect & Care Deodorant 25ml
This was ok, nothing special. I mostly bought and used it due to it's small size, which was perfect for travel.

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deostick 50ml ( here )
This is a really good deostick that is a best seller for good reason. It has a clean slightly feminine scent, that is not at all overpowering, and it's efficient. I will definitely buy again.

DECIEM Inhibitif Deodorant 50ml ( here )
This is supposed to minimise the re-growth of hair under your arms - and who doesn't want to minimise that? Honestly - I feel like it did work! It also did a great job at keeping the skin hydrated and in good condition - as opposed to how a lot of other deodorants tend to dry the skin out. I've already re-purchased.

Ilse Jacobsen Sea Buckthorn Panthenol Shampoo & Crosilk Argan Conditioner 215ml x 2 ( not online )
This is a Danish brand that I couldn't find available online anywhere that sells internationally. The shampoo and conditioner duo are best-sellers from the brand, and so I was excited to give it a try. I have to say I was impressed. The shampoo is efficient, but gentle on the scalp. The conditioner hydrated and treated the ends of my hair really well, without weighing the hair down.

BlowPro Hydra Quench Shampoo & Conditioner 50ml x 2  ( here )
A decent duo. I found the shampoo to be a bit drying, and the conditioner not hydrating enough, but overall they were ok and I enjoyed using them whilst travelling. I don't see myself purchasing the full-size though.

Sachajuan Thickening Shampoo 250ml ( here )
I haven't been too impressed with Sachajuan overall, but their thickening shampoo and conditioner I've really enjoyed. This does a really good job at cleaning the hair and scalp, removing all product residue, without being too harsh.

Oribe Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray 175ml ( here )
Oribe continues to impress me and being my favourite hair brand. This, however, didn't wow me as much as other products have. It did a decent job at conditioning the hair and protecting against heat (I guess, how can you tell?), but the results weren't as obvious and mind-blowing as I've experienced with other products. I'm happy I've used it up, and I will probably not buy it again, and buy other Oribe products in it's place.

Kerastase Mousse Bouffante 150ml ( here )
This was my first venture into using hair mousse, and I have to say I'm a convert. It really does give hair volume like nothing else will. This was a great mousse, but being the Oribe enthusiast that I am, I really want to try the Oribe Mousse next.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day5-in-1 Styling Treatment 60ml ( here )
This is a nice leave-in treatment, but I have to say I don't really get what all the hype is about. It's ok, definitely, but it doesn't make my hair as soft or smooth as other leave-in conditioners do, especially at this price point.

Tigi Bed Head Blow-Out Golden Illuminating Shine Cream 7ml ( here )
This was ok, but didn't blow my mind. It was cool that it had the golden shimmers, but I was surprised I couldn't really see it had any effect on the hair.

No 7 So Smooth Base Coat, Deborah Lippmann Addicted to Speed Top Coat, Essie Mint Candy Apple, OPI Rainbow Connection, Lancome 270N, Revlon 261 Sparkling, Rimmel 393 Desire, Lancome 179M, Estee Lauder GJ Fallen Angel & GE Beautiful Liar, Dior Rosy Bow 355, Essie 47 Sexy Divide.
I am getting rid of all of these either because they are actually used up and empty, they are old and expired, or I don't think I'll be able to use them before they go off, and therefore am giving them away to friends and family that would want them. If I haven't listed the name of a shade it's either due to the label rubbing/falling off or the names not being on the bottle, like with the OPI minis.

Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation 30ml in 4,5 ( discontinued )
My all-time favourite foundation, that has unfortunately been discontinued. The Power Fabric foundation that has been introduced to replace it is good, but not at all the same or even similar to the finish of this.

Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation 30ml in 01N ( here )
This is super nice. It offers light/medium coverage, and gives the skin a beautiful natural glow. It lasts well, nothing too spectacular, but is comfortable on and doesn't irritate the skin. This shade was also a really good colour match for me. I'd definitely like to get another bottle.

Nude by Nature Perfecting Concealer in 03 Shell Beige ( here )
This was super good! It has a lot of coverage, blends in well, looks natural on and is long-lasting.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette ( here )
This is a nice product, and this colour in particular is very good. It can be a bit soft, and so your eyebrows can look a bit overdrawn, but if you are careful this is a good eyebrow product. I like to use this to fill in the areas where the hairs are the most sparse, and then go over everything with brow powder.

Benefit Gimme Brow in 03 Medium ( here )
This is really nice. It adds some texture to the brows, make them appear fuller, and keeps hair in place all day.

Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist Broad Spectrum SPF 50 100ml ( here )
This irritated my skin. I was super excited about the concept, as I am semi-obsessed with protecting my skin from the sun, but unfortunately it made my skin break out and get irritated.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Pink of Me 59 ( here )
This was nice, but dried out way too quickly. I liked the colour, but I won't be buying these again.

Nars Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte ( here )
This was super nice. It's really pigmented, and glides on super easily - making it perfect for use on the waterline.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper ( here )
I get what all the hype is about with this eyeliner. It glides on smoothly, is really black and lasts well. If it was available in Norway, I'd definitely buy it again.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curl Addict Mascara ( here )
This is a really nice drugstore mascara. It lengthens, separates and builds a lot of volume without clumping. It also doesn't flake or smudge.

Tromborg Eyeshadow in Fairy & Kashmir ( here )
I love Tromborg eyeshadows. The products are all organic and natural, so these have gone off and so I am getting rid of them. I noticed as the pigmentation and overall quality had changed. I'm getting rid of these, but have already re-purchased these shades as I love them so much. They are easy to use, blends effortlessly and lasts all day.

No7 Lipliner in 10 Blush & 15 Fire ( discontinued )
These were nice lip liners, but nothing all that great. They have been discontinued anyway. I am getting rid of the ones I have left as they have expired.

Barry M Lip Liner in 3 ( here )
Same goes for this one, it's old and expired so I am getting rid of it. These are really great value for money though. If you are on a budget, I'd give these a look.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 54 Boy ( here )
One of my all-time favourite lip products. This one I've used all the way up, and without even trying. It gives a natural pink tint to the lips, making you look really effortlessly pulled together. It's also super comfortable on the lips, it's not drying and I find it actually hydrates the lips. I will definitely re-purchase as it's a staple in my handbag.
